Islam Online Stuff: Islamic Dictionary

There are some abbreviations, and words used on this site, which might be confusing to some of you, either because you're not familiar with the arabic language, or because you just don't know them. Off course, I'm not the best at defining stuff, so I wouldn't mind if you guys could help me out, or correct me on any mistakes that I have made here. Also, I'm sure there are some phrases or words that aren't listed here, but you think would be useful, so please e-mail me.

A.S. - stands for "Alaihis Salam". Used at the end of the names of the Imams
Asar - The third namaz of the day

Hajj - the pilgrimage in which muslims go to Mecca

Janamaz - the "CARPET" on which you recite your prayers

Mohr - See "SAJDAGA"
Moharram - The first month of the islamic calendar, in which Imam Hussain was killed

Ramadhan - islamic month in which all muslims fast
Roza - urdu term for fasting
Rukoo - the state in a prayer when you are bent at a 90 degree angle

Salat - prayers
Sajda - the state in a prayer when you have bowed your head to the floor facing the direction of mecca
Sajdaga - the bar used by shia muslims to do sajdah during prayers
