Dir is still indies band BUT their Music sence is great! They have already have lots of fan. The Album "Missa" came to the top 35 of the Japan MAJOR Week ranking(1st week)(not indies rank, MAJOR rank)which is EVER since X. Their Music style is very very Evil and Dark, like Lunasea in Indies, Kuroyume in Indies, Laputa in Indies. Except the Bass Toshiya, other guys was in indies band "La:sadie", and that band broke apart(problem with the bass), and then they got together with Toshiya and made Direngrey. Dir is in German...en is french..grey is english. It means Grey. They want to make music with Black and white color. Something evil and some sadness. I heard the "La:sadie" they have only 3 demo tapes. not for sale any more..and impossible to get! It is too good. All the song is Great. You could see the lasadie Page in the main. can't believe in indies. beautiful, you can't believe that the voice is coming from that face(Kyo's)! They use cheap intrustments which doen't sound good but hey! they are in Indies, they don't have that much of money. BUT they have great sence and voice. It has screaming voice too! whick I love it. Now(98 June) they ware costums so similer with Malice Mizer in Debut Album(98 Apirl). In "Missa" it has lot's of fast heavy music. No skills! but Great scence! . The skills and good instuments, they could get it in future. Everyone should look forward to these guys. 2 video came out. one is promo and 1 is live history. Both cost 5,090 Yen(50 dollar).The Indies Single "i'll" came to the major ranking number 7.Oh my god! Last indies Concert at Nihon Budokan.(big place..musician's dream) Oh my god! But they said they didn't do well. lots of mistakes. I think there live is not good. No one ever did that. Finally debut.3 singles in one time. All cost 1,030 Yen (normal single price in japan..about 9 US dollars each).Titles are "ZAn" "Yurameki" "Akuro no oka." I love the "ZAn" they did it in major. Normally the band do fast and evil songs in indies time but they did it in major. It is produced by Yoshiki(ex-X-Japan). in 3-days 75 thousand were sold(together).
