OF CMS UNIQUE ACHIEVEMENTS
(i) 11 CMS students of Chowk Branch won the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in five International Beam Robotic Olympiads held at U.K., Canada & USA and India. CMS Chowk Branch also organised the 6th International Robotic Olympiad in which eight countries participated from 20th to 23rd November, 1997.
(ii) Quality Circles - CMS Students won the highest appreciation in Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand QC Conferences. The 1st International Convention on Students' Quality Control Circles was organised from 18th to 20th December, 1997 in which eight countries participated.
(iii) QUANTA 97- an International Science Competition organised by CMS Chowk branch was the 3rd International Competition for Science, Mathematics, Astronomy and Computer Science, in which delegates from Russia, USA, Poland, Italy, Pakistan, Indonesia, Brunei-Darrusalam, Canada and the best public schools from all over India participated.
(iv) During the last four years 16 CMS students have qualified for the Singapore Airlines Merit Scholarship to study Computer Technology at Singapore University.
(v) Since the last four years, CMS organises a month long annual Children's International Summer Village Camp. 68 children delegates from 12 countries participated in a month long CISV Camp organised by CMS during January, 1996. This year five CMS students' delegations are visiting Phillipines, USA, Denmark, Columbia and Finland. This year the CISV Camp is scheduled from 29th December, 1997 to 25th January, 1998 in which children delegations from Australia, Brazil, Chile, Canada, Columbia, the Czeh Republic, Denmark, France, Norway, New Zealand, Sweden, USA and India are participating.
(vi) Under the International School-to-School Exchange (ISSE) programme two student delegations visited Australia and Japan during 1995 and 1996 respectively. An Australian students' delegation visited CMS in 1995 and a Japanese delegation visited in January, 1998.
Academic Results for 1996-97
1. 41 students passed ICSE (Year 10) Examination-97 with 90% to 94.40% marks.
2. 27 students passed ISC (Year 12) Examination-97 with 90% to 94.75% marks.
3. 113 students passed U.P. Board High School Examination-1997 with 75% to 86.33% marks.
4. N.T.S. MERIT SCHOLARSHIP-1996-97: 20 CMS students have been selected for the coveted National Talent Search Merit Scholarship of the Government of India. They will receive a Merit Scholarship ranging from Rs. 200/- p.m. to Rs. 1000/- p.m. upto the Research level. They will also get an additional Book Grant of Rs. 500/- to Rs. 2,000/- yearly, upto Research levels. During the past 13 years, 159 CMS students have been selected for this coveted scholarship.
5. CLASS IX LEVEL INTEGRATED MERIT SCHOLARSHIP-1996-97: In the State Level Competitive Integrated Merit Scholarship Examinations, 144 students have been selected from the CMS to receive the U.P. Integrated Merit Scholarship for two years. 3377 students of CMS have received this scholarship in the past 20 years.
6. CLASS VI LEVEL JANPAD MERIT SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATION-1996-97: In the district level Junior High School Merit Scholarship Competitive Examinations 1996-97, 74 CMS students have been selected for awards of the State Government merit Scholarship for three years. 1228 CMS students have won this scholarship in the past 20 years.
7. QUALIFIERS FOR ENGINEERING, MEDICAL & PROFESSIONAL COLLEGES, 1996-97: In all, 124 CMS students have been admitted into various prestigious Engineering, Professional and Medical Colleges in India and abroad.
8. PAST ACHIEVEMENTS: During the past 20 years the CMS students have earned more than Rs. 5,00,00,000.00 (US $ 1.25 Million) as Merit Scholarships by qualifying in various merit scholarship competitions at district, state, national and international levels.
