Wallflowers Quilt Gift Project

If you are interested in helping, email me here! I'll give you all the details, such as size of your piece, etc.

Okay, the above picture is a drawing of what a quilt *could* look like... Forgive my (limited) artistic abilities! :-) be glad you are only doing one piece, not 25 like I had to do for the picture! ;-)

I am using the "washington loves the wallflowers" one, but the others are open if you can't think of anything else, or for inspiration!

Here are my comments about each piece... (L-R, Top to Bottom)

On the first one, my name is on there big because I don't want anyone taking this! (I can't imagine anyone actually doing it, but just to be safe...) But on that note, please make sure to include your name and state on your piece!

"Funny Money" comes from "Somebody Else's Money"... the line about how it's funny spending other people's money... so you could take a line and paraphrase it or come up with a phrase like that.

This one is pretty obvious... Sugar and Tangerines... well actually there's only one tangerine in the picture... but again, you could take a line and portray it in picture form... no need for words in that case!

Warden (use their nicknames!)... angel on mike's bike... again a paraphrase... make your piece dedicated to one of the guys if you want!

"Honk if you love the wallflowers!" hehehe, wouldn't this be a cute license holder? I think they need to make it... :-)

"Washington Loves the Wallflowers"... this is the one I am using!

Wallflowers don't make lonely girls... again, a paraphrase... and look, I used two different colors, to add interest...

Canter's Deli-- the place 2 B... that's a bagel in the middle... use their background history! But maybe don't mention a certain father... ;-)

This one says, "Wallflowers 99" and their names... it's kind of hard to tell... it wasn't well-planned out... anyway, this is to show that you can just do words if you want... no need for fancy pictures if you aren't the artsy-type!

Awake In Dreams... it looks like I am doing an ad for what's-her-name's page... (sorry, I can't remember right this second)... but it's a line from a song, and to top that off, it goes well with the sleeping/ quilt theme... as does "silhouettes in dreams"

okay this one reads, "but officer, I can drive it home with one headlight"... again a paraphrase (I seem to do that a lot)

this next one is a quote from mike about rami... "he has a big, fat stogie"... (see my quotespage)... and a picture of a cigar, practically rami's trademark!

wow, another "josephine" one (the images in that song are easy to portray!), and another lyric one... "A ribbon from a paper bag"... please don't put a paperbag ribbon on your piece (or anything else fragile) unless it is on there extremely well since we don't want the quilt or its pieces falling apart!

"Mario... #1 drummer"... those are drumsticks...

"we're hooked!" and a picture of a guitar pick... this came from someone's concert story where they made a poster like that... this is again nickname-based, since on one of Jake's picks (the one he's been using lately) says "the hook"

yeah I drew this background... ;-) just kidding, it's obviously the one from the cd... another example of how to put all their names on one piece and also another way to do the W

another nickname... this piece says "jake... cptn. midnight... sweet dreams"... also another night-theme one... and multi-colored too... I should've added a paraphrase ;-)

"Wallflowers Bring Down the House"... paraphrase of their cd title... another just word one...

"We love Greg... Mr. Bass"... I made the mr.bass part up...

last one! "wallflowers rock my world"... a globe and music notes... maybe there should've been a W in the globe... ;-)
