In 1986, guitarist Adam Jones moved to Los Angeles from Libertyville, Illinois. Jones, who was supporting himself by being a sculptor and learning speical effects, met lead singer Maynard James Keenan. Drummer Danny Carey, who had worked with Geen Jello,and Pygmy Love Circus, lived downstairs from Maynard. Soon bassist, Paul D'Amour,was introduced through a mutual friend of Jones. The Band Was Born April 1991.
I really think that Tool has had a big influence on my life. They are, to me, one of the best bands of there time. They have the greatest lyrics, and the coolest vidoe's. To me no one can come close to the intese feeling that Tool has in there music. From the first time I heard them they were the best and most unique band that I have ever heard. Tool has come up with the most inspiring songs and I hope that they keep going on making the great music that they do.
