The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
October 9, 1995 @ Fort
Apache Studios
Cambridge, Massachusetts
This was a show sponsored by the Boston
radio station that promoted The Bosstones since their TAAANG! days -- WFNX.
Unlike other radio stations which only picked up the Tones after "Impression"
this station had the balls to play stuff like "Where'd You Go" "Someday
I Suppose" "Illegal Left" and "Cowboy Coffee" when they were new. I even
heard "Chocolate Pudding" played once along with "That's Another Story"
the day before Lollapalooza. It was invite only and, of course, I wasn't
invited. You had to be a certain caller and I kept missing it, even when
I had the phone girl rig it! I got there early waiting for the first 'Tone
I saw and begged them to let me in. Nate was more than happy to put me
on their personal list. Anyhow, this show was broadcast live at noon
on the station. Because I was there (skipping my integrated studies class
-HA!) I could not get anyone to tape it. If anyone has a complete copy,
I will swap some mad booty for one. These were the first pics I took of
the Bosstones and where I did my first stagedive. It was my third(?) Bosstones
show (living at home sucks when moms don't let you go to shows) and like
my fifth concert overall. It was great and it was also Vegas' birthday.
I have a picture of the cake (which Nate made me eat) but it sucks. If
these pictures are grainy, let me know. They are configured to look good
on my computer, not yours! Oh yeah, see that rad plaid jacket Dicky was
wearing. Somebody stole it!
