This was not a concert.
Dicky was asked to be the guest MC for the event. I guess Ben came along
too. This show was a four band radio show featuring Letters To Cleo, Better
Than Ezra, General Public and some band with a girl lead singer that was
pretty good. This was one of my first concerts (that's what you get when
your mom doesn't let you go to shows until you're senior in high school)
and some of my friends and I made it an outing. G-Dog Dawes couldn't go
because he had run his foot over with a lawnmower. But I digress. That
day we had heard that Dicky was going to introduce the bands so I decided
to put on an obnoxious plaid suit and bow tie to make an ass out of myself.
It worked, but hey, the chicks dug it. At the show NOBODY knew who Dicky
was except for me, one of my friends and some dude in a Tree shirt. Dick
and Ben looked pretty lonely so I decided to annoy the shit out of them
for the entire day. Looks like things haven't changed ... This was the
first time I had met Dicky and look what happened to me since. It's pretty
damn scary. P.S. Ladies, these pictures are old. I don't look like an asshole
anymore. Trust me on this.
