who do you think will win the Stanley Cup?

During the Second half the year the Flyers will most likely destroy the Devils and go into the finals where they will play either Dallas or Detriot. They finally got a speedy foward in Alex Daigle. He is so fast but an underacheiver. we'll see if he is any better in Philly but I really think so. Plus they got rid of Falloon. That guy was terrible!!! I was at 3 games this year and in all of them he gave the puck away and the opposing team scored on it. It was great to see him go. Prospal is going to be a solid player but the fact that he has had 2 major injuries in 2 years makes me question his durability. Anyway I like that they have put Lindros and Leclair on different lines to spark the offense. Which has been accomplished. The only thing this team lacks at time is heart!! and they didn't solve that problem by getting Daigle.

What is wrong with the Flyers? They have to best depth in hockey...at forward and in defense they are stacked with guys who can score and pass and can check the other players into kingdom come....but they haven't been putting the effort or the enthusism all year long. now given it is a long season but they should be better than they are now...and i blame that all on the head coach. Isn't he the one who is suppose to get some life into these guys? isn't he the one who should decide on lines and not change the lineup ever single game creating confusion amoung the players. well that is what i think tell me what you think.

READY TO TAKE A QUIZ!!!

If you ask anyone in this town who the two best players for the flyers last year two names will undoubtedly spill from the mouths of Philadelphians: Eric Lindros and John LeClair! Now Eric has one year left on his originally 6 year, $22 Million contract. The Flyers want to sign him but they don't want to pay him an extraordinary amount of money. When I say the Flyers what I really mean is that Ed Snyder and his deep (Comcast) pockets don't want to give up the dough for Eric. The problem is that Ed Snyder doesn't realize that Eric and his Agent father have been through this before with Quebec and we all know what happen there. Another things is that after this season he is a group 2 free agent which means that he can sign with any team and the Flyers could match it and retain him or let him sign with another team and then the Flyers would recieve 5 first round draft picks (big whoop). If Ed Snyder doesn't want to pay Eric the large salary he deserves then I guess if a deal doesn't get worked out now then when say, the Rangers, try to sign Eric to a 10 year $85 million deal just to spite the Flyers, Ed will have to pay that or really to crucified in this town. So it is either pay now or pay later: Which one is it going to be. However, it doesn't end there

The Flyers have another problem, John LeClair. He is grossly underpaid and everyone knows it. However, he has 3 years left on his wimply contract but isn't attending training camp. The Flyers are refusing to upgrade his contract. There is only one word for this: INJUSTICE. LeClair is one of only three players in the last 2 years to get 50 goals or more. without him the Flyers can not win the Stanley Cup and that is that. If the Flyers were willing to shell out money for Luke Richardson and Chris Gratton the least they could do is pay LeClair around 4 million a year. You know it, I know it and the Flyers front office knows it. And I am not just saying that because I just bought a LeClair jersey and now the papers are saying that they might trade him.

So basically sign Eric and John and lets win the Stanley Cup already!!!

ok here we go the top three reasons why the Flyers are much more improved:

1. They have finally gotten rid of the scourge of the "LEGION OF DOOM". That right...the overrated Mikael Renberg. He is good and big but he injury prone and hurt us in last years playoffs.

2. The addition of Chris Gratton makes the "LEGION" a much more effective line. Hey, you mean all we gave up in that trade was Dykheus (who knows if he would have made the team and Renberg. This guy is at least a young and stronger version of Renberg.

3. Finally, they have the humiliation of being swept in the Stanley Cup finals. This above all else will make them huhfsdsfgdfghgfngry for the Cup. I mean if you were shutout in the most prestigious sporting event known to man, wouldn't you come back like you have something to prove?

well, that's my thought now tell me what you think. In my links page you will find a guestbook that you can sign. Tell me why you think the Flyers are going to be better, worse or same this season.
