Things to Remember from Friday!
Chapters 15 & 16
1. R.I.T. = Recognition, Identification, Translation.
This order is key; do not reverse!
2. Differentiation between Imperfect and 2nd Aorist
Imperfect = Augment + Present Stem + secondary endings
(ov, es, e, omev, ete, ov)
2nd Aorist = Augment + Changed Stem + same secondary endings
3. First Aorist Active = Augment + Stem + sa + Secondary Endings
(sa, sas, se, samev, sate, sav)
First Aorist Middle = Augment + Stem + sa + Middle Secondary Endings (samnv, sw, sato, sametha, sasthe, savto)
4. Aorist Passive = Augment + Stem + thn + Secondary Endings (thn, thns, thn, thnmen, thnte, thnsav)
Future Passive = Stem + thn + Middle Primary Endings (thnsomai, thnsn, thnsetai, thnsometha, thnsesthe, thnsovtai)
5. Note the verb forms in these chapters and maintain your principal parts chart.
