A national listing of graduate programs in many different disciplines
All Education Schools
Includes a listing of most education programs in the U.S. (including online programs) and other material (like a FAQ list on teaching). It does not include online links to the schools but it does have a basic listing of schools, contact info, and what the programs the schools offer. If you see a school that looks interesting you can always do an internet search yourself.
Counseling programs accredited by The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)
As expressed by the name this is a directory of counseling programs accredited by CACREP. If you're thinking about changing to school counseling (or any other type of counseling for that matter) you really should check out this site

Professional Organizations and Associations

American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education
NCAT- National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Eduaction
NBPTS- National Board for Professional Teaching Standards
An organization which includes national certification (may be good for the resume, not necessarily for transfer of your certification from one state to another- similar to programs like the National Certified Counselor program).
ABCTE- American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence
Same as above, but they have a certification for non-certified teachers which can help you gain certification in a handful of states.
The Learning Disablities Association (National)
A must for teachers, parents with LD kids and anyone with LDs or who works with LD people

Subsitute Teaching, tricks of the trade
Not everyone gets a teaching job right out of school and they may find subbing to be good experience. Others may want to spend some time in a classroom before starting a program to be sure that teaching is for them. Either way this is a useful site.
ProTeacher: A growing community of elementary teachers
Seems to be a decent site.  It has information, advice, activities and message boards, including for subs, new teachers and prospective teachers.
Teachers.net
This site has some useful and interesting information. It includes job listings, message boards, and lesson plans. Just be aware that it is set up in such a way that if you aren't careful you could easily mistake the ads for site resources.
