I was in first year university when Outskirts came out. I remember Blue Rodeo being an almost instant hit among my friends and myself. On weekends, when we'd go out to bars and such, we had a theme song that would play on the radio for each outing. That song is Joker's Wild. I'm not sure what it's about, and I don't think that I would like to know what it's really about. But that song always sounded like Greg Keelor was singing about not wasting your youth, not caring what others think, and just living your life how you want it - which is exactly what we did! I listen to that song and memories of those wild nights come flooding back to me.
