Arizona encompasses every climate zone ,but tropical. From up high on top of the 12,600 ft. San Francisco Peaks, outside Flagstaff, to the low,low desert around Yuma, Arizona is diversified.

High Country Begins On The Mogollon Rim
There is an escarpment ( Rise in the land ), that just about cuts Arizona into two parts running west to east. It rises more than 1,000 feet in most places. It is called the Mogollon Rim.
