The book on which the movie was based. A mysterious statue is found in a grotesque setting in the sweltering jungle. The legends of a lost tribe who made the relic describe a horrible creature that kills without mercy and is controlled only by the lost tribe. The Museum of Natural History in New York is the new owner of the relic ... and suddenly, just before a large exhibition including the statue, people are turning up dead and horribly mutilated. What on Earth has followed the relic to it's new home?

Reliquary
co-author Douglas

This story can really be a cliff hanger. It is the sequel to Relic. The problems Margo, the New York Police Department and FBI had before is nothing compared to Reliquary. Headless corpses are starting to turn up again and the New York Police Department asks the administration of the museum to use their sophisticated equipment to identify and help determine the manner of death the victims suffered. Professor Frock is brought out of retirement and Margo, now full fledged curator is asked to assist in the autopsy. The following chain of events becomes a chilling race against time to save the world. I, at least, had a hard time waiting for the end.

Mount
Dragon
with co-author Douglas

This is a bio-thriller examining the moral, ethical and
legal issues of bio-engineering impacting the human genetic pool.
The story revolves around three principles; a young and rising
bio-engineer (Carson), a pharmaceutical company director (Scopes)
with an apparent dichotemy of personality traits, procuring
profits and attempting to improve the health of the human race by
eliminating the flu, and his old adversary, a university
professor (Levine) who uses questionable methods to try to
monitor and control what he sees as misuse of bio-engineering.
The story is an incredible portrayal of a possible horrifying
scenario in an attempt to control the uncontrollable human
factors and faults when handling potentially holocaustic
materials. The story has an incredible twist at the end and is
worth the wait.

Riptide
with co-author Douglas
Preston
For those who enjoy tales of the lost treasure and pirates,
the latest novel by this pair provides a different twist to this
favorite theme of old. This is another tale of man using
technology trying to outwit a previously brilliant architect of
the 1800's. The pirate Ockham had kidnapped the architectural
genius of the time to build an impregnable vault to protect his
treasure. The search for the treasure has cost many their lives
... including many of the family who owns the island. Captain
Needleman, approaches the Dr. who is the current owner of the
island with a scheme to get the treasure. His team has uncovered
vital information that makes the scheme more feasible. The Dr.,
against his better judgement, agrees ... on one condition ... he
is to be a part of the expedition. If nothing else, he wants to
find out what happened to his brother ... a victim of his own
desire to find the treasure...
This is an enjoyable suspense and ... delightfully possible
... techno-thriller.
