Michael and his fellow lawyer in the firm are briefly held
captive by a homeless man trying to make a point about the
indifference of wealthy lawyers trying to become richer at the
expense of the homeless. Michael survives the hostage situation,
but the trauma of the experence pricks his conscience and the
speeds the breakdown of his already doomed marriage. The homeless
man becomes "Mr." to Michael who procedes to
investigate the plight of the man who would commit such a
desperate act. His search leads him to a firm of street lawyers
who devote their time to easing the plight of the homeless. These
lawyers do not make as much money as the lawyers in Michael's
firm, but Michael finds himself drawn away from the sterility of
his firm and into the world closer to the street, aimed to making
the sordid life of the homeless a little more stable. Michael
continues his investigation which leads him to discover why "Mr."
had chose his firm to make his point. Michael discovers something
about the firm that changes everything, even the directon of his
career ... that is if he still has one ...
