John and Julie Origer, along with sons Nathan and Jared, live in Grandpa and Grandma Dolezal's house on George Street in North Judson. Several years ago, they were doing some work in the dining room when an old postcard fell out from behind a board on the wall. The postmark is dated March 19th, the feast day of Saint Joseph. The year appears to be either 1913 or 1915. When the card was found, Agnes and Mildred were still living. According to them, it was customary to send cards to loved ones on their patron saint's feast day. The handwriting on the card appears to be Emma's. Agnes and Mildred thought that Emma may have written the card for Grandma because she still had difficulty writing in english at that time. The message reads, "I'm wishing you a Happy Nameday & many more to come. Your loving Wife"
Left to right: Spanky, Butch, Mickey, Alfalfa, and Porky. Is that Stan Laurel with Aunt Agnes? No, it's Uncle Bob Phillips.
