Here we see: Ve
= Su/Mo
Notice that if you add 90 degrees to the Moon position, you arrive at the Sun. Do the addition and see what I mean. It is important that you start to get 'a feel' for these dials rather than just to read these words. If you are tempted to include Jupiter, don't - it is too far away, and tight orbs must be used with midpoints. My almanac refers to Eleanor as "a diplomat and humanitarian". Certainly Ve = Su/Mo is more relevant to her than a heavy weight boxer. I do not know a great deal about Eleanor, but I know that she was no physical beauty and yet she had a very attractive personality, at least from what I have heard. Experienced astrologers will know that it is incorrect to make judgements
by taking one part of a person's chart. So, by looking at just the
Su/Mo, we are not getting the total picture. These are exercises as an
introduction to using midpoints. Full natal analysis is not attempted
here.
We will now investigate the charts of
Ur = Pl = Su / Mo MC = Su/Mo Su/Mo = Me/Ju = MC/Ve Try to match the above midpoints with the three
people before you go to the next page.
