| Walter Lucier, 83, formerly of Jay who made his home with his daughter Mrs. Fred McGinnis died Wednesday morning in Grace Cottage Hospital, Townshend. He had been ill for about a year. |

| The body was taken to North Hero for Masonic funeral services (note - Walter Lucier is buried in Jay, Vermont). |
| |
| Mr. Lucier spent the greater part of his life in Jay where he was born 2 June 1868. He held town offices in his home town representing Jay in the legislature in 1910, 1931 and 1933. He was a farmer. |
| |
| Mr. Lucier leaves his daughter, Mrs. McGinnis, two sons, Graham and Eldon, both of Jay. Eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. His wife the former Margaret Graham died 18 years ago. |

| He was a member of The Union Masonic Lodge of Troy. |
