Asian Buddhists will tell you of a kingdom called Agartha, made up of a worldwide labyrinth of subterranean passages. A haven for the populations of vanished continents, Agartha was a center of intellectual progress and enlightenment. Its holy leader became the king of the World, who, according to one devotee, "knows all the forces of the world and reads all souls of humankind and the great book of their destiny."

The legendary Assyro-Babylonian King Gilgamesh was reported to have had a long conversation with the Agartha of the underworld.

The Greeks were constantly trying to find them.

The Musician Orpheus tried to save his wife Eurydice from them, giving them the name Hades.

The poet Homer wrote about them.

The philosopher Plato wrote that there were "tunnels both broad and narrow in the interior" and in the center a god who sits "on the navel of the earth."

Egyptians fought with them and called it the infernal underground kingdom.

Later Christians had their hell.

The Incas eluded marauding Spanish conquistadors and carried their treasure into the kingdom with the help of the Agartha.

In 1672 English astronomer Edmond Halley,discover of the comet that bears his name, tried to find the Agartha. He came very close.

Think of Shamballa the Lesser as the United Nations of over 100 subterranean cities that form the Agartha Network. It is, indeed, the seat of government for the inner world. While Shamballa the Lesser is an inner continent, its satellite colonies are smaller enclosed ecosystems located just beneath the Earth' s crust or discreetly within mountains. All cities in the Agartha Network are physical and are of the Light, meaning that they are tradition of the great mystery schools of the surface, honoring such beings as Jesus/Sananda, Buddha, Isis and Osiris . . . all of the Ascended Masters that we of the surface know and love, in addition to spiritual teachers of their own long-standing heritage.

Why did they choose to live underground? Consider the magnitude of the geological Earth changes that have swept the surface over the past 100,000 years. Consider the lengthy Atlantean-Lemurian war and the power of thermonuclear weaponry that eventually sank and destroyed these two highly advanced civilizations. The Sahara, the Gobi, the Australian Outback and the deserts of the U.S . are but a few examples of the devastation that resulted. The sub-cities were created as refuges for the people and as safe havens for sacred records, teachings and technologies that were cherished by these ancient cultures.

There is a civilization of people living in the center of the earth known as Agartha. Buddist and Indian theology affirms their existence.

The Buddhist theory:

It is believed to be a race of supermen and super women who occasionally come to the surface to oversee the development of the human race. It is also believed that this subterranean world has millions of inhabitants and many cities, its capital being Shambala. Ancient philosophy states that Agartha was first colonized thousands of years ago when a holy man lead a tribe to the underground. The people have scientific knowledge and expertice far beyond that of the people who live on the surface of the planet.

India Theory:

The Ramayana one of the most famous texts of India, tells the story of the great avatar, Rama. It describes Rama as "an emissary from Agartha" who arrived on an air vehicle.

The Vril-ya is a race of superbeings, which are handsome giants of 12' or more.

War and social conflicts have been abolished. Machines perform the menial chores; people are free to do what they prefer and a storekeeper is as highly regarded as the chief magistrate.

Crime, drunkeness, and other vices are unknown, and everyone lives past a hundred years of age in vigorous health.

All of these blessings derive from "vril," a versatile fluid that gives these people absolute mastery over all forms of matter. It allows them to fly on artificial wings, to heal and preserve, to light their cities, and to blast away rocks for the creation of new settlements. Its destructive power is so awesome that war has been outlawed.

In this interior world is an ideal society that lives its motto:

    "No happiness without order,
     No order without authority,
     No authority without unity."

The Vril-ya was given the name Titans of the underworld.

In 1873 a man escaped the Vril-ya and wrote, "Being frankly told by my physician that I am afflicted by a complaint which, through it gives little pain and no perceptible notice of its encroachments, may at any moment be fatal, I have thought it my duty to my fellow-men to place on record these forewarnings of The Coming Race. The Vril-ya intend to return to the upper world, where they originated, and supplant the inferior races that now live there."

In 1933, Adolf Hitler proclaimed himself the leader of a Thousand Year Reich, a civilization of supermen that would rule the world.

Hitler told Hermann Rauschning, the Nazi governor of Danzig: "The new man is living amongest us now! He is here! ... I will tell you a secret. I have seen the new man. He is intrepid and cruel. I was afraid of him." Because of this the Fuhrer dispatched expeditions.

It is notable that in 1942 Nazi Germany sent out an expedition composed of some of its leading scientists in an attempt to find an entrance to the hollow earth. This project was endorsed by Goring, Hitler, and Himmler.

In April 1942, for example, at the height of the war, Dr. Heinz Fischer, an expert on infrared radiation, led a group of technicians on a secret expedition to the Baltic island of Rugen. The men aimed a powerfull camera loaded with infrared film to take pictures of the hollow interior of the concave earth.

After World War II there seems to be a continuing connection between hollow-earth stories and Nazi Germany. One author, Ernst Zundel, wrote a book entitled UFOs - Nazi Secret Weapons? claiming that Hitler and his last battalion had boarded submarines at the end of the war, escaped to Argentina, and then established a base for flying saucers in the hole leading to the inside of the Earth at the South Pole. Zundel also suggested that the Nazis had originated as a separate race that had come from the inner-earth.
