Voted most popular teenage artiste, most popular TV entertainer, most popular singer (female) and most popular artiste, Siti managed to beat mega star competitions such as Ziana Zain, Awie, KRU, Nora, Erra Fazira and many others. Winning a grand sum of RM 22 000 and trophies, Siti confessed that being popular puts a lot of pressure on a person. However, by winning all four categories that she was nominated in, Siti said that she is thankful to her fans for recognising her work and supporting her.

Right. Then The Star (yup, that same daily) came up with an article… focusing on who-wear-what at the Anugerah Skrin & Bintang Popular ’96. They sort of handed out their "very own Special Fashion Awards, for the heck of it". Siti apparently won the err… most shocking (pink) attire award. And here’s what they wrote…

For the awards show, her outfit was sponsored by TV3. She was packaged in an all-pink Cinderella gown with a big ribbon smack in the centre, complete with black frilly gloves and a tiara.
