The rains came
Soft and
gentle
Blessing the earth
Parched by Summer
suns.
All night long
It fell
quietly
Thru rustling leaves
And dripping
eaves.
Birds in the hazy morn awoke
Shook
out sodden wings
And flew to drink
At new
fresh water pools.
