Chapter 31

Gia remained on her side of the elevator her arms tightly folded across her chest. If he chose not to speak with her the last thing she wanted to do was force a conversation with him. Stealing a glance his way Gia locked eyes with him surprised to find Nikolas staring at her.

Looking at her it took all of his might not to go to her and demand answers. From the moment he saw her he wanted her. More than her body Nikolas wanted to know everything about her. Her likes and her dislikes… the things that made her laugh, cry or both… He craved to know the things that made Gia Gia. And to have held her in his arms and made love to her… Shaking his head Nikolas continued to stare intently at Gia praying she would be the first to speak.

Breathing deeply Gia turned her head trying to ignore his stares. It was bad enough that Nikolas haunted her dreams but to have him staring at her unflinching was nearly too much. In the dark of the night Gia could still feel his lips on hers. She could feel his touch across her stomach and the weight of him as he pressed her into the bed. But more than haunting her Gia longed for the thoughts and memories of Nikolas. As crazy as it seemed she longed to have him near her... touch her... love her... Shaking away her thoughts Gia looked up and again found his gaze resting on her.

Nikolas- [softly] Are you going to speak to me now?
Gia- I wasn’t the one who ended the last conversation.
Nikolas- Neither did I…
Gia- Whatever… [shrugging] what is there to say?
Nikolas- Quite a bit...
Gia- [shaking her head] I don’t think so...
Nikolas- [after several minutes of silence] Did I do something wrong?
Gia- [softly] Excuse me…
Nikolas- What did I do wrong?
Gia- [softly] Nothing...
Nikolas- [slowly walking towards her] I have thought about you constantly...
Gia- Nikolas…
Nikolas- I wanted to call you and see if you were fine but I had no clue who or where to call.
Gia- [shaking her head] I... I’m fine...
Nikolas- If the night we spent together... [shaking his head] I did not intend to hurt you...
Gia- [softly as she looked down] You didn’t hurt me...

Coming to stand directly in front of Gia Nikolas looked down on her lowered head. Slowly reaching out Nikolas gently caressed her cheek lifting her face back to his.

Nikolas- [softly] Gia...

Shaking her head Gia began to move away from Nikolas causing him to block her path with his arm.

Gia- [softly careful not to look at him] Nikolas please...
Nikolas- No I want to talk to you...
Gia- We’ve talked and...
Nikolas- [gently lifting her face to his again] I can’t get you off of my mind... [softly] you are so beautiful...
Gia- [softly] Nikolas...
Nikolas- [caressing her cheek] I came to Port Charles not expecting anything but from the moment I saw you... [slowly shaking his head] and when I held you in my arms...
Gia- [trying to move past him] I can’t do this...

Blocking her path once again Nikolas stepped closer to Gia pressing her against the wall of the elevator. Inhaling deeply Gia breathed in Nikolas and lost herself again. Slowly tracing her lips with his finger Nikolas saw as Gia lifted her head inviting him to her mouth. Slowly lowering his head Nikolas covered her mouth connecting to her once again. Holding her face in his hands Nikolas tenderly kissed Gia losing himself in the moment. The feel of his lips on hers once again... the warmth of his body pressed close to hers Gia slowly reached out wrapping her arm around his neck. Feeling her slight response and as her mouth opened to his Nikolas hungrily drank of her. Continuing to kiss her Nikolas released his hold on her face and slowly snaked his hand down her body enclosing her in his arms. Wrapping her tightly in his arms Nikolas slightly picked Gia up from the floor as their kiss deepened. Coming to their floor the doors suddenly opened. Departing quickly Gia looked back at Nikolas before rushing to Sonny’s penthouse disappearing inside. Sighing heavily Nikolas slowly walked towards his penthouse knowing again he was only left with memories of Gia. Once inside Nikolas slowly discarded his clothes as he walked towards his bedroom. And as his hands unbuttoned his pants ready to rid himself of them as well he stopped noticing a very nude Emily waiting for him in his bed.

Nikolas- [softly] Emily...
Emily- [smiling seductively] Welcome home Nikolas...

Chapter 32

Having heard the door open and close Sonny quickly rounded the corner to see Gia slumped against the door.

Sonny- [softly] Gia...
Gia- [quickly smiling] Oh hey Sonny...
Sonny- Is something wrong?
Gia- No... I...[shaking her head] everything is fine...
Sonny- Are you sure because...
Gia- [softly] Everything’s... everything is fine...
Sonny- [softly smiling] Are you ready to eat?
Gia- [smiling thankful he had changed the subject] Yeah...
Sonny- Good... I’ll be right back...
Gia- I have... I have to go wash my hands...
Sonny- [softly as Gia headed up the stairs] Gia if something was wrong...
Gia- [softly as she looked back at Sonny] I would tell you...

At Sonny’s nod Gia continued up the stairs escaping into the bathroom. Closing the door Gia released her pent up emotions away from Sonny’s prying eyes. How could she have been so stupid to have slept with him again. And more importantly why did it feel so good? Looking at herself intently in the mirror Gia knew exactly why she did what she did. As wrong as it was Gia wanted him... she wanted the closeness being with him gave her. To have him holding her in his arms... to feel his breath dance across her skin... Sighing Gia continued to look at herself in the mirror not quite knowing what to do. Slowly touching her lips still feeling his lips on hers Gia wiped at a stray tear that threatened to fall. Would it be so wrong to be with him when everything in her was screaming to stay away? Would he be want she needed to help her forget all the turmoil that was going on in her life right now? Shaking her head Gia wiped away any traces of tears and slowly made her way back to Sonny. Sitting at the table with Sonny he and Gia enjoyed a quiet dinner neither of them saying much. As she pushed at the remaining food on her plate Sonny finally spoke up seeing her discomfort.

Sonny- Gia are you sure everything is ok?
Gia- [softly smiling] No…
Sonny- [softly] Maybe I can help…

Looking up at him Gia locked eyes with Sonny sighing softly before she continued.

Gia- [softly] Have you ever wanted something so badly you could taste it?
Sonny- Yes…
Gia- And this thing that you wanted… you knew it was wrong for you but you wanted it anyway.
Sonny- How do you know it’s wrong?
Gia- I just know…
Sonny- Who is he?
Gia- [softly] It doesn’t matter…
Sonny- How do you know?
Gia- [softy] I just do…
Sonny- I won’t ask you his name…
Gia- [softly smiling] Thanks… because I don’t think I could tell you even if I wanted to…
Sonny- Tell me about him…
Gia- You don’t want to hear this…
Sonny- If it concerns you… [gently taking her hand] I do…
Gia- [smiling] Thank you…
Sonny- [smiling] Just doing what any brother should and would do… [at her nod] now tell me about him…
Gia- He’s the last thing I need right about now but I can’t stop thinking about him.
Sonny- What do you mean?
Gia- I feel his lips on mine… or the way his hands feel when they are touching me… [seeing Sonny’s instant discomfort] we don’t have to talk about this…
Sonny- [shaking his head] Go on…
Gia- I’ve been so stupid when it comes to him… I mean I see him and I want to go to him. I want to know everything about him but I’m afraid if I take the time to…
Sonny- What?
Gia- [softly] He won’t want to know the same about me…
Sonny- If he has any sense he would want to…
Gia- That’s just it… I haven’t been using sense when it comes to him.
Sonny- What do you mean?
Gia- I did… I did things I would never think to do with him. I gave him…
Sonny- Did you sleep with him?
Gia- [softly smiling] Do you really want to know that?
Sonny- [shaking his head] No…
Gia- I didn’t think so… [looking down] what if after everything I did it’s all for nothing?
Sonny- But what if it isn’t?
Gia- [looking up at Sonny] What do you mean?
Sonny- Gia you are a beautiful and amazing woman…
Gia- You’re just saying that because I’m your sister…
Sonny- Yeah… [smiling] but I’m also saying it because it’s true.
Gia- [smiling] Ok so I’m amazing and beautiful…
Sonny- And any man or woman…
Gia- [softly] I don’t go that way…
Sonny- [laughing] Just listen to me… any man or woman who has the chance to know you is better because of it…
Gia- Try telling that to the attending doctor over me…
Sonny- Then it’s her loss…
Gia- [gently squeezing his hand] Why can’t everyone think like you?
Sonny- Because that would completely send Taggert over the edge…
Gia- [laughing] Yeah maybe…
Sonny- Gia I don’t ever want you to doubt yourself… if this guy is worth anything he’ll come to you…
Gia- [softly smiling] He doesn’t know where I live…
Sonny- All the better… [seeing a smile cross her face Sonny knew their talk was helping] for a second there I thought you were talking about Kamar…
Gia- [softly] Yeah he wishes…
Sonny- Is there something wrong there?
Gia- If I tell you promise me you won’t get mad…
Sonny- Gia…
Gia- Promise me Sonny…
Sonny- [mumbling] I promise…
Gia- He got a little too friendly and…
Sonny- [angrily] What did he do to you?
Gia- Nothing…
Sonny- Gia…
Gia- Ok he kissed me and tried to take it further than I wanted to take it…
Sonny- [quickly standing up] Did he hurt you?
Gia- [shaking her head] No…
Sonny- Gia did he hurt you…
Gia- [quickly standing beside Sonny] No… I made him leave and then I came over here… it went no further than us kissing…
Sonny- Gia I don’t want anyone hurting you…
Gia- And I don’t want to be hurt…
Sonny- Stay away from him…
Gia- I can’t…
Sonny- [yelling] Why the hell not?
Gia- Because despite everything he is my friend…
Sonny- Gia…
Gia- [smiling] Seeing your reaction I can only imagine what Marcus might do if he ever finds out…
Sonny- This time I’d be willing to help him with whatever he does…
Gia- I guess I’m really lucky to have two brothers like you and Marcus then huh?
Sonny- [smiling] Yeah you are…
Gia- [smiling] Thought so…
Sonny- [slowly walking towards the couch] You said despite everything… did he do something else?

Sitting on the couch Gia and Sonny continued to talk about Kamar. Of how he told everyone they were boyfriend and girl to his continuing questions about him. From the things Gia was telling Sonny he was definitely getting a bad vibe about Kamar and thought it would be best if he had Jason do a little investigating on him as well. Having returned to their previous conversation Sonny made Gia promise him not to give up on the “guy” that was preoccupying her thoughts. As a call came in to Sonny Gia stayed on the couch thinking of all the things they spoke about and more importantly about the fact that they had not broached the subject of Gerald. Waiting until he was finished with his call before saying goodbye Gia’s thoughts were again filled with Nikolas.

Nikolas- [softly] What are you doing here?
Emily- [slowly licking her lips] Waiting for you...
Nikolas- How did you get in here?
Emily- I have my ways...
Nikolas- Well... [slowly shaking his head] what do you want?
Emily- [softly] You... [extending her hand] come here...

Nikolas stood rooted to his spot not quite believing what he was seeing. The sight of Emily all spread out waiting for him Nikolas knew instantly what to do. Smiling Nikolas continued to undress until he stood nude before Emily. Looking at all of him Emily again slowly licked her lips anxious to feel and taste him. Softly touching herself Emily extended her hand again welcoming Nikolas to her. A slow smile continuing to spread across his face Nikolas slowly walked over to Emily coming to stand directly in front of her. Wanting to touch him Emily quickly reached out only to have her hands captured by Nikolas. With his head lowered Nikolas slowly brought her hands to his lips gently kissing them. Looking at her intently Nikolas smiled as he quietly spoke to her.

Nikolas- [softly] I would suggest that you get the hell out of my bed...
Emily- [softly] Nikolas...
Nikolas- Unless I invited you... [releasing her hands] there is no reason for you to be here...
Emily- [reaching out to him] I want to make you feel good...
Nikolas- [ignoring her hand] You would be the last person I would call on for that...
Emily- I know you want me... [touching herself] I see how you look at me... how you respond to me...
Nikolas- Pity... [shaking his head] I look at you in pity... I do not want you. I have no desire for you.
Emily- [softly] Why are you saying this?
Nikolas- Because you are wasting both of our time with your seductions...
Emily- No one can satisfy you like I can... I can make you...
Nikolas- [interrupting her] You’re wasting my time Emily and quite frankly I’m tired of it... [grabbing his towel off his bed] I want you gone by the time I’m out of the shower.
Emily- [yelling as he turned to leave] You don’t want that... you want...
Nikolas- [his back still to her] You’re embarrassing yourself...
Emily- I’m embarrassing myself... don’t you see what I’m offering?
Nikolas- [slowly wrapping his towel around his waist] Yes I see...
Emily- And?
Nikolas- You’re common... I can have three of you at the snap of my fingers...
Emily- Common... I don’t think so...
Nikolas- [shaking his head as he leaned against his dresser] There’s nothing special about you... no fire... no spark...
Emily- [shaking her head] I am special...
Nikolas- If you think whoring yourself to me makes you special...
Emily- Whoring myself... I don’t know who in the hell you’re talking to but...
Nikolas- I’m taking to you...
Emily- [angrily] I am no one’s whore...
Nikolas- Then what are you? You have no idea who I am or what I am about yet you are in my room offering yourself to me... in exchange for… [shrugging] for what?
Emily- I wanted to... I was going to show you a good time...
Nikolas- [shaking his head] No thank you...
Emily- What... do you want some virginal nurse maid who will jump at your beck and call?
Nikolas- [folding his arms] Excuse me?
Emily- I saw how you were looking at her...

Emily- You’re sadly mistaken if you think she is worth any amount of time...
Nikolas- Who are you speaking of?
Emily- Gia... [yelling] that bitch...
Nikolas- [angrily] I think you need to watch your mouth...
Emily- Or what... you’re going to silence me?
Nikolas- This is trivial and I do not want to continue to waste my time on this... [shaking his head] be gone by the time I’m out of the shower...

Looking at her one last time Nikolas slowly turned and walked of his bedroom leaving Emily dumbfounded still in the bed. How could he not want her? How could he turn away from what she was willingly giving to him? She would be damned before she allowed Gia to have Nikolas. Before was all said and done Gia would be answering to her begging for a chance at anyone. Quickly dressing Emily searched through her bag looking for something to remind Nikolas of what he had just turned down. Finding her tube of lipstick Emily quickly went to his dresser mirror scrawling a message across it.

Smiling satisfied with her work Emily left heading to Kamar’s in need of the release that only he could give her.

Coming out of the shower Nikolas observed the words left by Emily. Shaking his head he slowly dressed his thoughts again returning to Gia. The pain that flashed in her eyes before she left the elevator confused him and her words... The last thing he wanted to do to Gia was to hurt her. To have her in his arms nightly… to hold her until she slept soundly in his arms is all he found himself thinking lately. Their moment in the elevator prevalent on his mind Nikolas quickly wiped away the lipstick on the mirror. The feel of her pressed against him… the smell of her invading his senses Nikolas stopped shocked to feel his need for her growing. To have tasted her nectar again and to have drank hungrily from her Nikolas sighed as he slumped down in a nearby chair. He was fighting a losing battle knowing already that she would not leave him nor his thoughts. Closing his eyes Nikolas revisited the elevator and again felt the rigid bud of her nipple slide across his tongue. The feel of her tongue as it danced heartily with his… the feel of her soft hands as they roamed freely over his body… Sighing knowing staying the penthouse with her being that close was impossible he quickly called her knowing she would answer.

Helena- Helena Cassadine…
Nikolas- Grandmother it is me…
Helena- Nikolas my darling… what can I do for you?
Nikolas- I want to see you…
Helena- Fine I am free all of tomorrow…
Nikolas- [shaking his head] No I want to see you now…
Helena- Very well… I will come to you now…
Nikolas- No… I will come to see you.
Helena- As you wish…
Nikolas- [sighing] If only that was the case…
Helena- What does that mean?
Nikolas- Nothing… I will be there shortly…
Helena- Very well…

Hanging up without another reply to Helena Nikolas quickly headed out of the door. Before stepping onto the elevator he rounded the corner coming to stand in front of Sonny’s door. Gia was on the other side and all he needed to do was knock and he would come face to face with his beauty. Sighing Nikolas returned to the elevator pressing the door button momentarily pushing thoughts of Gia from his head. However once on the elevator Nikolas slowly relived their moment together over and over again.

Saying her good-byes to Sonny Gia decided to take his advice and slowly walked to Nikolas’s door knocking gently. After several knocks with still no response Gia realized he was gone and her chance to talk to him was gone as well. Sighing Gia went back to the elevator pressing the door button ready to return home. And like Nikolas the second the elevator doors closed she relived their lovemaking over and over again.
