Chapter 39

Taggert and Lucky continued to watch their siblings trying best to decipher the looks pasted on both of their faces. Who exactly was this guy Gia was dancing with and why had she never mentioned him before? Taking a closer look Taggert vaguely remembered seeing him before but exactly where he could not be sure. Looking over at Lucky Taggert’s confusion increased as he read the obvious jealousy on his face. Gia was a beautiful girl but surely Lucky could not have any feelings other than friendship for her... or could he? As Taggert began to move towards Lucky he was given a better a glimpse of Nikolas and he knew instantly where he knew him from. Slowly shaking his head as he returned to the bar Taggert wondered how and why Gia was dancing with the man who had wrecked her car some time ago. Ready to go and question her about this Taggert’s path was blocked as Sonny and Jason entered The Outback joined by a several women on both their arms. Turning his attention to them Taggert momentarily forgot Gia and began to wonder what exactly Sonny was up to and why he was there.

Lucky watched Nikolas as he wrapped Gia in his arms whispering to her softly. They both claimed not to know each other outside of him but surely there was something more going on that he did not know about. The look of content on that danced across Nikolas’s face had Lucky’s irritation and anger near boiling point. As they danced closer together even through the next song that played Lucky had to do all he could not to go to them and break them apart. Irritation turned to confusion as he watched Gia respond to whatever Nikolas was whispering to her. A slight smile, a gentle laugh, a look quickly to and only for him, Lucky watched all imagining all was meant instead for him. Still watching as Nikolas gently brushed her cheek Lucky sighed wondering if he had lost Gia even before he had the chance to claim her as his own and tell her how he really felt.

As they slowly made their way to their table both Jason and Sonny watched Gia as she danced on the floor. Pressed close to Nikolas Cassadine as a slow song played in the background both wondered what was going on between the two of them. From the moment he laid eyes on Nikolas Jason did not like him. He was too cocky for his own good and Jason instantly wanted to knock him down a peg or two. Besides his attitude, knowing that Gia had just spent some time with him angered him more than anything. Nikolas having met him at the door wearing only some pants on and his shirt in his hand Jason instantly figured out what exactly had transpired between him and Gia. But Nikolas’s nonchalant attitude and behavior made Jason determined to keep Gia from him and the hurt Jason knew would come. His warning to Sonny still not having had any effect Jason was now apt to find out any and everything about him. Spying a glance at Sonny as he sat down Jason wondered what thoughts were going through his head.

Looking quickly at Taggert and then to Gia Sonny did not exactly know what to think. Firstly, what was Taggert doing here watching their sister from the bar as if something was wrong? And secondly, why exactly was Gia dancing close to Nikolas Cassadine as if it was only the two of them in the room? Their talk coming back to him Sonny wondered if Nikolas was the person Gia was speaking of. She went on and on about some guy who she desperately wanted to get to know but could he be that man? His eyes going to his sister’s face Sonny was momentarily taken aback as the look of pure bliss covered her face. Having met him in the lobby of their hotel Sonny did not get much of a feeling about Nikolas, and even after Jason words about him Sonny still was not concerned one way or the other about him. But now... with everything that was going on in Gia’s life the last thing Sonny wanted was for her to be hurt by the seduction of someone obviously not meant for her. Looking again at the expression Gia wore on her face Sonny momentarily blocked the thoughts the came rushing to him and watched in awe as contentment washed across her face. Glancing again quickly at Taggert they locked eyes both witnessing their sister as they had never seen her before.

Elizabeth and Emily came rushing through The Outback’s door shocked as they watched Gia and Nikolas dancing closely together on the floor. If it were the last thing she would do Emily would put Gia in her place. Already she had Kamar lost in her web, and despite his claims to the otherwise Nikolas too seemed to be headed that way. Compared to her Gia was common at best and even Nikolas deserved more than that. If given half the chance Emily knew she could show Nikolas how right she was for him. He possessed everything she looked for in a man. Wealth, power, intelligence, and to waste all of that on Gia would be wrong. Besides with one look at him Emily knew that sexually he would be explosive, and even without all the other qualities she knew he had, she would be damned if she allowed Gia to experience that.

Elizabeth looked nervously around the club realizing that both Jason and Lucky were there. Looking at Jason Elizabeth wondered if he would happily take her if once and for all she left Lucky. Sleeping with him every chance she had Elizabeth could think of nothing but him. Though she made it appear she was upset that she and Lucky was not spending much time together Elizabeth was ecstatic because she was able to spend that time with Jason. Pulling her gaze from Jason Elizabeth looked over to Lucky and her emotions quickly changed. Surely he could not be looking at Gia with such longing and desire that was etched across his face. There was nothing Gia could or would be able to offer him that she was not already giving to him. Walking steadily over to Lucky with hands on her hips Elizabeth angrily confronted Lucky.

Liz- I thought you were meeting your brother…

Ignoring her Lucky continued to look at Nikolas and Gia as they danced closely together.

As the song changed once again Nikolas pulled Gia closer into him not ready to let her go.

Nikolas- [softly] I don’t want to let you go…
Gia- [softly] I haven’t asked you to…
Nikolas- Gia… I know you may not be ready for this but…
Gia- We can talk about that later…
Nikolas- [staring deeply into her eyes] We do need to talk…
Gia- [softly as she looked up at Nikolas] I know…
Nikolas- [again softly caressing her cheek] You are so beautiful…
Gia- [softly smiling] So you’ve told me…
Nikolas- Do we have to return to the table?
Gia- [smiling] What else do you have in mind?
Nikolas- [softly smiling] Well…
Gia- [softly as she moved away from Nikolas] Come on…
Nikolas- [softly] Come on?
Gia- [slowly smiling] Yeah…
Nikolas- [whispering] What do you want…
Emily- [coming up behind Nikolas wrapping her arms around his waist] Hey baby…
Nikolas- [quickly turning towards Emily] What in the hell…
Emily- I know you didn’t think I gave up that easily…
Nikolas- What are you doing here?
Emily- [slowly running her finger down his jaw line] I came for you… the way you left me on your bed all alone…
Nikolas- [pushing her off of him] What are you talking about?
Emily- [lightly biting her bottom lip] The things you said and did to me… [softly moaning] no one has ever made me feel like that before…
Gia- [looking from Emily to Nikolas as she backed away] Excuse me…
Nikolas- [softly as she reached out to her] Gia…
Gia- [shaking her head] I have to go… I’m going ba…
Nikolas- [softly] Please…
Gia- [shaking her head] Nikolas…
Nikolas- Don’t go… I can explain…
Emily- What is there to explain? You and me… on your bed…
Nikolas- You are delusional if you think that meant anything…
Emily- [quickly licking her lips] I can tell you how long you are… how good you taste…
Nikolas- [shaking his head] Only in your warped dreams maybe… but nothing like that happened between us.
Emily- [smiling] Why are you trying to deny what happened? We are adults who made the decision to…
Gia- [pulling her hand away from Nikolas] Excuse me…
Nikolas- Gia please… don’t leave… I don’t know why she is…
Gia- [softly smiling] I’m not going anywhere…
Nikolas- But you said…
Gia- I’m going back to the table to enjoy the rest of my drink... [shaking her head] that’s all.
Nikolas- You are not leaving?
Gia- No it would take more than that… [looking Emily up and down] to get me to leave…
Emily- What is that supposed to mean?
Gia- [smiling as she walked away] If you don’t know I ain't the one to tell you…

Watching as Gia slowly walked back to the table Emily frowned her hatred of Gia continually growing.

Emily- [turning back to Nikolas] I hope you have more sense than to fall for a tramp like her.
Nikolas- Excuse me?
Emily- You heard me… that tramp is not worth the time of day…
Nikolas- [his turn to slowly look Emily up and down] I so agree…

Before she could utter another word Nikolas turned and walked away from her following Gia to their table. Angered by his treatment of her Emily turned and ran out of The Outback in search of Jake to help her release her growing emotions.

Liz- [looking around the table at Gia, Lucky, and Nikolas] What was going on when we came in here?
Gia- [smiling] Two friends dancing…
Lucky- Friends?
Gia- [smiling as she looked at Lucky] Yeah…
Lucky- [softly] When did you two become friends? I mean you’ve barely seen each other?
Gia- [looking up seeing Taggert smiling at her from the bar] If you all will excuse me…
Nikolas- [softly] I thought you were not leaving…
Gia- [smiling] I’m not… but my brother Marcus is here and I want to go and say hi to him…
Nikolas- [softly] Oh…
Gia- [quickly going to Taggert] I’ll be right back…
Lucky- [as Gia hurried over to Taggert] When did you and Gia become friends?
Nikolas- Seeing that Gia is a very good friend of yours we… Gia and I have decided that we should become friends as well.
Lucky- When did this happen? I mean…
Nikolas- We’ve since met and discussed a few things since the time we spent together at your father’s club.
Lucky- When?
Nikolas- Would you rather us be at each other’s throats?
Lucky- No…

Making her way to Taggert Gia quickly went into his open arms.

Taggert- [softly] I’ve missed you Lil Bit…
Gia- [laughing as she looked up at him] I thought we had retired that nickname a long time ago?
Taggert- We had… but watching you out there it came back to me.
Gia- How long have you been here?
Taggert- Long enough to see you dancing with the guy who wrecked your car.
Gia- [softly] Oh…
Taggert- Oh? What’s going on between the two of you?
Gia- [softly] Marc…
Sonny- I’d like to know that as well…
Gia- [quickly turning to Sonny as he stood behind her] Sonny? What are you doing here?
Sonny- Answer Taggert’s question first…
Gia- What question?
Taggert- What’s going on between you and that guy?
Gia- That guy has a name…
Sonny- Nikolas Cassadine… what’s going on between the two of you?
Gia- Nothing…
Taggert- He’s the one that hit you and wrecked your car…
Gia- So…
Taggert- So? Are you crazy?
Gia- [shaking her head] No…
Taggert- Gia…
Sonny- Is he the one you were talking about?
Taggert- Talking about when?
Gia- [turning to Sonny] Sonny…
Sonny- Is this the one you think you might have feelings for?
Taggert- You have feelings for this guy?
Gia- [softly as she looked at Sonny] See if I ever tell you something again…
Taggert- Answer the question Gia…
Gia- I…
Sonny- I don’t want you to get hurt. Jason said…
Gia- [softly] I won’t be…
Sonny- Gia you’re my sister…
Taggert- And mine…
Sonny- And I love you…
Taggert- So do I…
Gia- [throwing her hands up stopping them both from talking] Ok… ok… ok… I’m your sister… you both love me… you only want to keep me safe… you don’t want anything bad to happen to me… you’re only looking out for me and what’s best for me… you’re always going to protect me… you don’t want to see me hurt… [looking from Marcus to Sonny] am I forgetting anything else?
Taggert- [smiling] We’re trying to keep you safe…
Sonny- [smiling] She already said that…
Taggert- [looking at Sonny smiling despite himself] You sure?
Sonny- Yeah…
Gia- Look I know you care and you would do anything to keep me from being hurt but…
Taggert- [gently taking her hand] Anything…
Sonny- [softly] That’s right…
Gia- But nothing’s going to happen to me…
Taggert- What do you know about this… what do you know about Nikolas Cassadine?
Gia- [softly] Enough for now…
Taggert- Do you know if he’s ever…
Gia- [quickly pointing at Taggert] Don’t you go investigating him… [turning to Sonny] you either…
Sonny- Gia…
Gia- We’re friends…
Taggert- Friends? I didn’t see friends when you were out there dancing…
Gia- [flustered] Ok do you want me to tell you that I think he’s extremely sexy? Because I do…
Taggert- [frowning] Gia…
Gia- Or do you want to hear about how when I look at him I want to…
Sonny- [frowning] Keep that to yourself too…
Gia- [smiling] Can you both just trust me to know what I am doing?
Taggert- [softly] I trust you…
Sonny- [gently touching her face] So do I…
Gia- He’s Lucky’s brother and for whatever reason I like him… [shrugging] I like being around him and I want to see what that’s about…
Taggert/Sonny- Ok…
Gia- [looking from Sonny to Taggert] Please don’t do anything…
Taggert- He’s your friend…
Sonny- And we trust you…
Gia- [shaking her head smiling] You know I don’t believe either of you right…
Taggert- [smiling as Sonny nodded beside him] Yeah…
Gia- Just let me do this ok…
Taggert- [nodding] Ok but if he does anything I don’t like…
Sonny- He’s going to have to answer to the both of us…
Gia- [shaking her head] Heaven forbid something bad ever happens to me… the two of you will be in straight jackets by the time everything is said and done…
Sonny- [calmly] Nothing will ever happen to you…
Taggert- I… [looking quickly at Sonny before turning back to Gia] we won’t allow it…
Gia- Ok… [quickly kissing Sonny and Taggert on the cheek] we can talk about all of this later but I have to go back…
Taggert- What about Kamar Gia…
Gia- What about him?
Taggert- You said you were going to tell me something about him…
Gia- I will but later ok…
Taggert- Gia…
Gia- I’m paying tonight so I gotta make sure they don’t run up the bill…
Taggert- You’re paying?
Sonny- Since when do you have to pay for…
Gia- Ok let’s not go through all of this again… I invited Lucky and his brother out… I said I would pick up the bill…
Taggert- But…
Sonny- Gia…
Gia- I thought you guys said you would trust me?
Sonny- We do…
Taggert- It’s them that we…
Gia- Marcus… don’t have me call mom…
Taggert- [laughing putting his hands up in surrender] Ok…
Gia- I call you both tomorrow and tell you everything…
Taggert- Everything?
Gia- [smiling] Everything…
Taggert- Ok…
Gia- [quickly kissing his cheek again] I love you…
Taggert- I love you too… and I’ll be waiting for that call…
Gia- [laughing] I know… [turning to Sonny quickly kissing him as well] I love you too…
Sonny- I know… and I want a call tomorrow too…
Gia- [smiling] Ok… [pointing at both of them] behave…

Smiling one last time Gia quickly returned to the table waving at a smiling Jason as she passed. Quickly sitting down Gia took a deep breath before turning her attention back to the conversation floating around the table.

Elizabeth having seen the brief scene between Jason and Gia was pissed off and was more than ready to go.

Liz- [quickly standing] Lucky I’m ready to go…
Lucky- What?
Liz- I want to go home…
Lucky- [softly] But you just got here…
Liz- [frowning as she looked at Gia] Well now I all of a sudden have the desire to leave…
Lucky- Elizabeth…
Liz- [angrily] So what… you don’t want to take me… fine I’ll walk…
Lucky- [sighing as he stood] Looks like I have to leave… thanks for tonight Gia… I’ll call you ok…
Gia- [smiling] Ok…
Lucky- Nikolas…
Nikolas- Lucky…
Liz- [ angrily as she tightly folded her arms across her chest] Come on Lucky…
Lucky- [looking from Gia to Nikolas one last time] I’ll see you guys…
Gia- Bye Lucky… [smiling] I got you this time but next time it’s your turn to pay…
Lucky- [smiling] Ok…
Liz- Next time?
Lucky- [shaking his head as he walked away from her] Come on Elizabeth…
Liz- [walking behind him] What does she mean next time?

As Lucky and Elizabeth disappeared outside the door Nikolas turned to Gia softly smiling.

Nikolas- [smiling] Well… now where were we?
Gia- [slowly smiling] Yeah where were we?

Taggert and Sonny continued to stand by the bar watching their sister and Nikolas at the table openly flirting with one another. Slowly sparing a glance at each other they simply nodded before parting ways. Both knowing what the other was thinking, Taggert left to begin his own look into who exactly Nikolas Cassadine was knowing that in time Sonny too would do his own. Returning to the table with Jason Sonny looked over again at Gia silently hoping that she and heart would be protected from Nikolas. As the night continued inside of The Outback Emily had successfully distracted Gia’s guard giving Gia’s “admirer” more than enough time to observe her and her companion.

Chapter 40

As the night wore on Nikolas and Gia moved closer together at the table as Jason and Sonny continued to watch them.

Jason- [softly] Do you want me to go over there?
Sonny- For what?
Jason- To check on her…
Sonny- She looks fine to me.
Jason- [softly] Sonny…
Sonny- What would be our purpose for going over there?
Jason- I don’t like the guy…
Sonny- Did you find out anything?
Jason- No…
Sonny- [shaking his head] I promised her that I would trust her…
Jason- [standing] I didn’t...
Sonny- [softly] Jason...

Before he could continue both Nikolas and Gia stood slowly walking towards their table.

Gia- [smiling] What’s going on over here?
Jason- [nodding at Nikolas] Why is he with you?
Gia- [looking at Jason] Huh?
Sonny- You’re not leaving are you?
Gia- Yeah… it’s been a long night…
Jason- Where are you going?
Gia- Home…
Jason- Is he going with you?
Gia- [softly] What did you say?
Jason- I said…
Sonny- [softly] Jason…
Gia- I’ll call… [looking quickly at Jason confused by his behavior] I’ll call you tomorrow Sonny ok…
Sonny- [quickly hugging her] Ok… I’ll be waiting for it…
Gia- [smiling as she quickly kissed his cheek] Ok…
Nikolas- [nodding at Sonny] Mr. Corinthos…
Sonny- [extending his hand] Call me Sonny…
Nikolas- [firmly shaking his hand] Sonny…
Sonny- [nodding] Nikolas…

Looking at Jason seeing obvious anger and jealousy Nikolas simply smiled and nodded in his direction before turning towards Gia. Placing his hand on the small of her back Nikolas softly whispered to her.

Nikolas- [softly] Are you ready?
Gia- Yeah... [softly as she nodded] let’s go…
Nikolas- Fine… I’m following you remember…
Gia- [nodding] Yeah… ok Sonny… I’ll call you…
Sonny- [smiling] Ok…
Gia- [looking quickly at Jason] Jason…
Jason- Gia… [as she turned away reaching for her] don’t…
Gia- [turning back towards him] What is it Jason?
Jason- [seeing the look on Sonny’s face] Nothing…

Looking quickly from Sonny back to Jason Gia slowly shook her head unable to read what was going on. Waving to them Gia and Nikolas turned and slowly walked out of the Outback. Watching her still from outside “he” quickly hid making sure she did not notice him as she passed. Not speaking Nikolas and Gia quickly made their way to their cars. Turning towards her Nikolas softly spoke to Gia not quite sure of their next move.

Nikolas- [softly] So what now?
Gia- That depends…
Nikolas- On what?
Gia- On what exactly you have planned…
Nikolas- [slowly smiling] Surprisingly enough… I had not thought further than us arriving at our cars.
Gia- [softly] Oh…
Nikolas- What would you like to do? We can retire to my penthouse…
Gia- [smiling] For what?
Nikolas- [smiling] Simply to talk…
Gia- [smiling] Talk huh?
Nikolas- Yes… I would never attempt to force you to do something you did not want to do.
Gia- [softly] What about the elevator?
Nikolas- I... [softly] if we did something that you did not want…
Gia- [shaking her head] Calm down… like I’ve often said… nothing happens that I don’t want to happen.
Nikolas- So what do you want to “happen” tonight?
Gia- [softly] Do you… [lightly biting her bottom lip] would you like to come to my cottage?
Nikolas- You live in a cottage?
Gia- Yeah… it’s back in the woods… no one around to bother and/or question us about what we are doing.
Nikolas- And what exactly will we be doing?
Gia- [slowly smiling] Talking…
Nikolas- [softly smiling] Talking?
Gia- Yeah…
Nikolas- Lead the way…

As Nikolas followed closely behind Gia “he” quickly called reporting all that he witnessed. Still deeply engrossed in whatever Emily was doing to him Jake did not see Gia and Nikolas leave for the cottage as well as the man who spied on Gia’s every move.

Looking in her rear view mirror as he followed behind her Gia took a deep breath slightly surprised by her actions of tonight. When she told Marcus and Sonny that she enjoyed being around him she did not realize at that point how true that statement was. Even there with Lucky Nikolas commanded her every thought as well as all of her attention. With even the smallest of smiles, or a whisper of a laugh, her heart beat faster. She found herself wanting to go to him tasting and feeling all of him. The two times they slept together Gia’s initial reaction was shock and near denial that it had even happened. However once over her shock and denial regret quickly followed. Regret over being alone… regret over never truly experiencing love… regret over not doing the things she wanted instead of those her mother desired her to do. And most importantly regret over pushing him again before really giving him a chance. His touch wakened something in her that she had never felt and she wanted to know where possibly that could lead. Taking another deep breath Gia prayed that whatever happened between tonight she would have the strength and courage to face it in the morning light.

Nikolas followed behind Gia trying best to control his raging emotions. Shock greeted him when first he walked into the Outback seeing her sitting with Lucky. But with a glimpse from her all thoughts and insecurities fled from him. And when learning that it was she who arranged this meeting between them Nikolas did not know what to think or how to respond. Then to hold her tightly pressed to him and her not attempting an escape nearly completed his night. Even with Lucky sitting between the two of them Nikolas could not tear his eyes away from her. Catching once a smile dancing across her face Nikolas wanted to reach across the table capturing that dance in a kiss. And to spend time with her even after Lucky left Nikolas did all he could to contain himself. She truly epitomized what true beauty was and he knew he would or could never tire looking and being near to her. In the life he led Nikolas the company of women nearly became commonplace for him, but with a single moment spent with Gia Nikolas knew that none could ever compare to her. And though they had slept together it was more than the physical with her, the mere act of talking and spending time with her completing him more than he thought possible.

Once parked Gia stood by her car waiting for Nikolas to reach her. Coming to stand in front of her Nikolas intently stared down into her eyes unsure if they should “talk” as she suggested.

Nikolas- Gia... [softly] we don’t have to…
Gia- [softly] Can I kiss you?
Nikolas- Excuse me?
Gia- I want to kiss you…
Nikolas- Why?
Gia- Why not… [smiling] but seriously I’ve been wanting to kiss you from the moment you walked through the door…
Nikolas- [softly] Really?
Gia- [softly as she nodded] Yeah…
Nikolas- I’ve wanted to kiss you as well…
Gia- [smiling] Really?
Nikolas- Yes…
Gia- [smiling] So can I?
Nikolas- [slowly smiling] Can you what?
Gia- [lightly biting her bottom lip] Can I kiss you?
Nikolas- [staring intently at her] Yes…

Slowly reaching out Gia gently caressed his cheek losing herself in the softness of his skin. Grabbing him by the lapels of his jacket Gia quickly pulled him into her. As his body pressed up against hers Gia quickly reversed their positions, she now pressing him up against her car. Slowly running her fingers across his mouth Gia slowly traced the outline of his lips before she leaned into him. Softly pressing her lips to his Gia slowly and tenderly kissed him. Wrapping his arms around her waist Nikolas felt her mouth open to him. Sliding his tongue into her mouth Nikolas slowly feasted on the flavors of her mouth. Returning the favor Gia slowly rolled her tongue across his languishing in the flavors of him. His hands slowly moving up her body, Nikolas cupped the back of her head locking their mouths together as the kiss deepened. Unbeknownst to them Kamar stood watching, angrily stalking the porch as they passionately kissed. After everything he was putting on the line because of his growing feelings for her, to watch her kiss another man quickly boiled the anger in him nearly causing him to explode.

Moving her hand slowly down his chest Gia came to rest at the waist of his pants. Breaking away from him Gia smiled up at Nikolas as she slowly licked her lips softly whispering to him.

Gia- [softly] Come on…
Nikolas- [softly] Are you sure?
Gia- Yes… [smiling as she gently took his hand] come on…

Holding hands Gia slowly led Nikolas to her front door only to be shocked by an obviously upset Kamar.

Kamar- [angrily] What in the hell is this?
Gia- [softly] Kamar?
Kamar- [yelling] Answer the damn question!
Gia- What is wrong with you?
Kamar- [looking at Nikolas] What is he doing here?
Gia- [shaking her head] You don’t have the right…
Kamar- Gia you are better than this… don’t lower yourself to…
Gia- Kamar what are you doing here?
Kamar- I came to see you and…
Gia- Well you’ve seen me… now leave…
Kamar- [softly] Why is he here?
Gia- Because I invited him…
Kamar- For what?
Gia- That’s none of your business…
Kamar- I think it is…
Nikolas- [softly] It’s not…
Kamar- [turning towards Nikolas] I had you pegged from the first time I laid eyes on you…
Nikolas- Meaning?
Kamar- I’m not going to let you use her…
Nikolas- [softly] I don’t plan to…
Kamar- Then why are you here?
Nikolas- And as you were told previously… that is not your concern.
Kamar- [softly] Answer the question…
Gia- [shaking her head tightening her hold on Nikolas’s hand] Come on Nikolas…
Kamar- [roughly grabbing her arm] Don’t do this Gia…
Gia- [calmly] Let my arm go…
Kamar- Don’t be stupid and let him do this to you…
Gia- He’s not doing anything I don’t want him to do…
Kamar- Gia… [tightening his hold of her arm] you’re better than this…
Gia- Kamar I think you need to go home…

Kamar- [angrily] He’s using you! Can’t you see that!
Gia- [shaking her head] I don’t want to talk to you about this.
Kamar- [softly] Gia I care about you…
Gia- Then leave…
Kamar- [yelling] I’m not going to let you do this!
Gia- Kamar please…

Quickly looking from Gia to Nikolas Kamar quickly lunged for him forcibly grabbing him by the lapels of his jacket.

Kamar- [yelling] Stay the hell away from her!
Gia- Kamar…
Kamar You don’t know what this is about… I won’t let you ruin everything I’ve done…
Nikolas- [calmly] I will tell you only once to…
Kamar- [yelling] I’m not going to let you destroy everything!
Nikolas- [his anger and irritation quickly growing as he knocked his hands away] Take your hands off of me!
Kamar- Don’t you get it? You don’t control anything around here. If it wasn’t for me she would be…
Gia- I would be what?
Kamar- Gia… go in your house and let me handle this…
Gia- Kamar… I want you to leave…
Kamar- No…
Gia- [pulling out her cell phone] Leave now or I will call the police.
Kamar- They can’t do a thing to me…
Gia- I’m going to call my brother and…
Kamar- [smirking] Who Sonny?
Gia- No… Marcus and when I tell him how you are acting…
Kamar- [reaching out for her] Gia you don’t know what you are doing…
Gia- And you do?
Kamar- After everything I’ve done for you… everything I was willing to do…
Gia- What are you talking about?
Kamar- Gia please… just listen to me and…
Gia- [shaking her head] I don’t want to hear it…

Gia- [dialing Taggert’s number] Kamar… I don’t know what’s going on with you. The last time you were here you couldn’t keep your hands to yourself…
Nikolas- [softly] Did he hurt you?
Kamar- [yelling as he pointed at Nikolas] That’s none of your damn business!
Gia- [softly as she looked at Nikolas] No…
Kamar- Gia you don’t have to tell him anything… that was between you and me…
Gia- And this is between me and Nikolas… I don’t have to tell or explain anything to you.

Seeing the scene as he finally arrived to Gia’s cottage Jake quickly rushed to her making certain everything was as it should be.

Jake- Ms. Campbell… is everything ok here?
Kamar- Yes…
Gia- No… [pointing at Kamar] I want him to leave…
Kamar- [softly] Gia...
Jake- Ms. Campbell are you sure?
Gia- [nodding] Yes…
Kamar- [softly] G…
Gia- If he does not leave now I am going to call the police as well as my brothers…
Jake- That is not necessary… [grabbing Kamar by his arm] let’s go!
Kamar- [trying to jerk away from him] You don’t understand…
Jake- No you don’t understand… you don’t leave with me now then the both of us will have to answer to the cops as well as Mr. Corinthos and personally I ain’t in the mood for that…

Quickly pulling Kamar away as he continued to scream and yell in her direction Gia slowly turned to Nikolas not quite sure of what to say.

Gia- [softly as she looked down] I’m sorry…
Nikolas- You know… if you did not want me to come into your cottage a simple no would have worked.
Gia- [looking up at him] What?
Nikolas- [slowly smiling] There was no need to involve your friends in this…
Gia- [smiling] Funny…
Nikolas- [gently touching her arm] You are uninjured?
Gia- [softly] I’m fine… [covering his hand] I really am sorry…
Nikolas- There is no need to apologize…
Gia- I don’t know what’s up with him these days…
Nikolas- Possibly in time you he with tell you…
Gia- But the real question is will I want to hear it when he attempts to…
Nikolas- You will know when the time arrives.
Gia- I guess… [at his nod] do you still… would you still like to come inside?
Nikolas- Perhaps now is not the best time…
Gia- [softly] I understand…
Nikolas- Another time possibly?
Gia- [looking down] Yeah…
Nikolas- However the next time we’ll make sure that we are alone and without company.

Softly smiling Gia looked at him losing herself in the darkness of his eyes. Taking her hand within his Nikolas slowly brought it to his mouth lightly kissing it never breaking eye contact with Gia. Gently caressing her cheek Nikolas leaned into Gia capturing her mouth in a soft kiss.

Nikolas- [whispering] Until next time…
Gia- [softly] Next time…

Lightly kissing a tender spot behind her ear Nikolas slowly moved away from Gia. Smiling softly Nikolas slowly walked to his car turning back to briefly look at her before entering his car. One last wave to her Nikolas quickly pulled away intent on learning all there was about Kamar Maxwell. Watching as his car disappeared Gia slowly entered her cottage thinking back to the events of the night. Sighing Gia realized that she would have to tell her brothers what happened tonight and she knew that that talk would not be a good one. But before picking up the phone to call either Gia collapsed on the couch her thoughts instantly going back to Nikolas. Lightly touching her mouth Gia relived their kiss slowly smiling thinking of all the possibilities of the next time.
