Kelly's
Emily- [smiling up at Lucky] It’s your turn to buy…
Lucky- [laughing] No it’s not… I did it the last three times…
Emily- Yeah right… you are always stiffing me with the bill…
Lucky- Look at all of the loot you got… of course I am…
Emily- [playfully hitting at him] Oh very funny…
Lucky- [softly smiling at her] I am not paying for this… I refuse…
Deanna- [softly] I can pay for my own…
Lucky- [turning towards Deanna] You don’t have to do that…
Deanna- [shaking her head as she slowly stood up] It doesn’t matter…
Lucky- [taking her hand] Dee…
Deanna- It’s ok Lucky…
Lucky- Where are you going?
Deanna- Home…
Lucky- Why?
Deanna- Why not Lucky?
Lucky- I want you here with me… we came here to have lunch together and…
Deanna- [softly] It doesn’t seem like it…
Lucky- What does that mean?
Deanna- It means… I don’t necessarily enjoy watching you and Emily smiling up into each other’s face as if I’m not here…
Lucky- [softly] Dee…
Deanna- [shaking her head] Lucky I’m supposed to be your girlfriend… but the entire time out you haven’t said more than two words to me and quite frankly I’m tired of it…
Lucky- It’s not like that…
Deanna- Then what is it like?
Emily- Lucky and I are friends… we like having fun together… laughing… joking… smiling up at each other as you said… what don’t you get about that?
Deanna- First of all Emily I wasn’t really talking to you so don’t try and question me on anything…
Emily- Fine… you’re the one standing here acting like the jealous girlfriend…
Deanna- Whatever… Lucky I’ll see you whenever…
Turning away from Lucky and Emily Deanna slowly began to walk to the door. Since seeing Elizabeth at the cottage Deanna somehow found the strength she once had and slowly she reasserting herself and was getting back all the things she had when she first came back to Port Charles. Thankfully Lucky was keeping his hands to himself and she was steadily growing and becoming stronger. Whether something was really going on between Lucky and Emily Deanna did not know but slowly smiling to herself Deanna knew it was what she needed to finally make her break from Lucky. Once free of him Deanna had plans to move and again start new on the life she knew she deserved. Hearing Lucky call out to her Deanna slowly turned back to him ready to tell him goodbye and to leave.
Lucky- Deanna… Deanna please…
Deanna- [turning towards Lucky] What?
Lucky- I love you…
Deanna- Yeah I know you do…
Lucky- I’ll call you…
Deanna- [shaking her head] Don’t worry about it… we’ll talk soon enough…
Lucky- Yeah ok…
Deanna- [softly smiling] Bye Lucky… Emily…
Emily- [smirking] Bye…
Smiling brightly Deanna again turned away from them only to have her smile drop as Nikolas, Gia, and Elizabeth all walk through Kelly’s doors. Locking eyes again with Elizabeth what she once thought was her strength both slowly and quickly seemed to flee from her.
Deanna- [softly] Elizabeth…
His back now to Deanna Lucky watched as the expression on Emily's face quickly dropped. Having heard the doors open Lucky slowly turned back towards Deanna only to find Nikolas, Gia, Deanna, and Elizabeth all staring back at him.
Lucky- [softly as he released Emily's hand] What in the hell…
The sight of her sending him into a instant tailspin thoughts of them before all came rushing back to Lucky. Love… life… lost… rediscovery… Jason… mistakes… each scene flashed quickly through his head. At one time they were so close and having returned from Helena and Fiason his brainwashing finally cured Lucky thought things would go back to how things once were. But when they did not Lucky did not know how quite to handle it and a lot of mistakes and hurt happened. Some of which he would probably not get over or forgive himself for. But finally he thought he had made the necessary steps he needed to live the life he thought he should have. Love of a woman who accepted him as him. The companionship of a friend he never knew he would have. And his brother again by his side. However the second she walked through the door and he again laid eyes on her Lucky instantly wondered if all he gained would again be taken away from him. Seeing the dazed look on Lucky’s face Elizabeth turned to Nikolas whispering softly to him.
Liz- [whispering] Maybe… maybe this was not a good idea…
Nikolas- [softly] Do you want to go?
Liz- [nodding] Yes…
Nikolas- Then let’s go…
Turning to leave Deanna quickly reached out to Elizabeth grabbing her quickly by the arm. Turning her back to her Deanna pleaded with her eyes as she softly spoke to Elizabeth.
Deanna- Why did you come back…
Liz- I…
Deanna- [softly] I almost made it…
Liz- What?
Deanna- [slowly shaking her head] I almost made…
Liz- [softly] I don’t know what you are talking about… [shaking her head] I…
Gia- [seeing the expression on Deanna’s face] Are you ok?
Deanna- [releasing Elizabeth’s arm] No…
Nikolas- Come on let’s go…
Liz- Ok…
Deanna- [shaking her head] No…
Liz- Deanna… what’s wrong?
Deanna- I…
Nikolas- [softly touching Elizabeth’s arm as he reached out for Deanna] We should leave…
Nodding Elizabeth, Nikolas, Deanna, and Gia turned to leave only to be stopped by Lucky.
Lucky- [looking back at Emily his back once again to them] Don’t leave because I’m here…
Liz- [turning back to Lucky] I’m… I’m not…
Lucky- [slowly looking down his voice muffled] Welcome home…
Five sets of eyes stared down on Lucky none knowing what is exact reaction will be.
