In this weeks episode "THE LIVIND DEAD" Maggie and P.J discover a road accident involving a young man. Upfront it looks like the man just lost control, but in reality he has been shot in the head by one of the missing police guns - a .38 bullet that the new temporary detective Ben Stewert is looking for.

Det. Peppy Romano arrives in Mt Thomas for the homicide case, but there is an air of tension between Peppy and Ben. Peppy seems to think that the victims wife is the attempted killer but when the man and woman from cryonics (the freezing people) claiming that they have a right to take the body away as the victim signed a form and paid the money. So when they turned up the wife was in the clear, until the body goes missing....then everyone is a suspect.

Meanwhile, it seems that Maggie and P.J's relationship might be on the rocks as Ben is getting in the way, he asked Maggie out on a date and poor P.J is majorly jealous. Things seem to just keep going downhill for then when Maggie accepts Ben's offer and she tells P.J that she is making Ben dinner that night. P.J gets even more jealous and turns up to Maggie's place pretending that he has work to go over and he sees the candle lit dinner and yummy food. He jumos to conclusions and thinks that Maggie has a thing for Ben, but really Maggie new that P.J would have turned up and planned it for him as a suprise!!! (Oh how sweet!)
