My Poems
This is a poem I wrote when my oldest son was a couple
of months old. I entered this poem into a poetry contest and am waiting
to hear back from the judges. I hope it at least places. If not, at least
I know I tried! I hope you like it. I would really like some feed back
on it if you wouldn't mind.
My Blessing
By: K.C.Bomer
My blessing came one Monday
So tiny and so sweet
Wrapped in love
And wrinkled skin
With tiny hands and feet.
I named my blessing Reyen
And gave him to the Lord
To grow up strong
And live his life
According to God's word.
So grow up tiny blessing
Become a big strong man
Keep your faith
Love the Lord
With Jesus always stand.
I love you baby blessing
So tiny and so sweet
Wrapped in love
And wrinkled skin
With tiny hands and feet.

Read, Mommy, Now!
K.C.Bomer
I am washing all my dishes
When I hear a tiny voice
"Read, Mommy Now!"
I remember what he does
When asked to do a simple chore
He smiles and he laughs
And says "No More!"
So, I smiled and I laughed
And said "No More!"
And he smiled and he laughed
and he said..... "Now!"
So being the obedient
Mommy that I am
I sat down on the couch
And began to read to him
A pile of books later
He's asleep upon my lap
I look up at the dishes
And proceed to take a nap!
