Once upon a time I told you forever.
But I never thought forever we'd be together. To me it was a promise but a promise that seemed false and empty.
I've spoke of forever before and been promised the same but it has no meaning if the mind is willing but the heart is weak. But I met you and we promised each other forever before we even knew what our hearts wanted. And through many months our minds have wavered on the edge of disaster but our hearts have always stayed strong.
Rightfully many times you should have ended forever for me again but you've stayed by my side. I admire your inner strength and I thank God for the power of your love for me.
I know now what forever means and have no fear or doubt that that's where you'll be...right here, by my side...forever...
