Love Amendment

A time so sweet,
When next we meet,
As love of me,
And you will be,
In calm display,
Unbroken that day,
And it will show,
As only we know,
By cryptic means,
In dramatic scenes,
Well handled; with care,
Our love we will share:

From you in touch,
Your beauty and such,
A look in your eyes,
Your whispering sighs,
Your laughter and smiles,
And feminine styles,
In giving your trust,
'Cause you know you must,
And simply indeed,
By letting me lead,
In what I must do:
Give my love back to you.

And as a start
To you I'll impart,
In an instant so brief,
To end all your grief,
I'll convey then as this:
My love in a kiss.

And gladly you'll take,
That kiss for your sake,
Then I shall reveal,
That kiss it did heal,
Our love that we had,
Back to good from the bad.

So on that day,
Not so far away,
That's how it will be,
When together shall we,
Be rejoined again,
To, our love, amend.
