Never Again

As the love I felt begins to fade
I do not ask how or why
My life gets brighter–moves from the shade
Let it be known that I did try
To share with her my love and life
An effort that did not succeed
All our struggles, strain, and strife
From our love I've now been freed
No longer to her am I bound
My love for her would not let go
My self I lost, but now I'm found
Life goes on, so now I know
I know that soon there will be
Someone who will love me more
But I pray to God that we
