Damned Kisses

It all went wrong somehow
Other voices lent a damning howl
And we haven't even kissed
Where was all the fire and passion

Quenched by dulling lack of wisdom
All I could do was tell her
I love you I do I do
Stand by her as sadness consumed

Her heart and happiness
Demons of her past devoured them
Lies of another conceal my truth
I gave trust, but was I trusted

Even now I can not know
Have I been damned by the
Ghost of him who haunts her so
Faint echo of venemous lips

Fatal kiss

A Trail Of Sticky Footprints

Oh, what joy those little ones can bring. They touch our heart in a special way. Having fun and from their heart they sing. Making it a brighter day. They laugh and they smile. Leaving sticky little footprints behind. A mess they can make in a little while. But, that innocence within you they find. I never knew I could love so much. That little hug and little kiss. Their little hands, so sweet to touch. And their laughter I sure do miss. Jerry Embry ©1998 August

Damned For A Kiss

Brief interlude of ecstasy. Barter my soul, for but a taste of your wine. Lips, smooth as silk, sweet as peach nectar, warm as hot chocolate. Craving to be devoured. The forbidden fruit of my desire. In, every thought of day, every dream of night. Endless burning torment. In the end, my epitaph will read, damned for a kiss. S. Lauren Bailey ©1998 August

A Trail of Sticky Footprints

A trail of sticky footprints,
On the floor,
A trail of sticky footprints,
leading out the door.
A trial of sticky footprints,
Smell like honey,
A trail of sticky footprints,
Honey costs money!
A trail of sticky footprints,
are to be walked by and in,
A trail of sticky footprints,
Now another is to begin.
