The first time that I heard of MMMBop was when I was in 6th grade. I was in the locker room and one of my best friends came in and she was singing it. I was like, "Whatinthewhatthe?" So then I went home, and I turned on the TV.(now keep in mind...at this time...I was OBSESSED with the Smashing Pumkins)The first vidoe I saw was Hanson. I immediatly got excited, because I really wanted to know what my friend Kristen was talking about. I thought that the guys were really cute, but then I saw the part with them in the cab. Ya know the part where they are leaning on eachother, because the cab is turning. I got so mad because that is something that is done in the Smashing Pumkins video for 1979. But I got over that, because I am now one of Hanson's most devoted fans.

I Remember It EXACTLY! It was memorial day 1997! I was supposed to go to my grandma's campter, but the Rain stopped us! My cousins and I went to my Grandma's house. WE were watching MTV and my cousin said "OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!" I asked her what it was, it was MMMBop! THe hottest new hit, she discribed it as. The rest of that week I had the song stuck in my head, except the wrong verse! Then we were having a pizza party at school and this one kid, Zac (looks NOTHING like Zac H.) stood up and started to dance to MMMBop when it was on the radio! It was now stuck in my head for another week! Then I was going to KElly's Island with my friend and she had the CD, we listened to it all weekend!!!! (Non of those people like Hanson anymore:()

Well the first time i heard MmmBop i was in the shower with the radio cranked up like usual! The dj said "and now for all you dance crazy mmmboper's heres the Hanson with their new chart topping single MMMBOP!" i was like oh great another happy jumpy song to annoy me! but then once mmmbop started blairing from the speakers i knew this was the best song ever! i started singing what little words i knew and soon it was stuck in my head! i went to work that morning with my mom and once again i heard mmmbop on the radio, i lady that works for my mom started to sing it and i joined in by the time the song waz over we were both tired from all our wild dancing! but then it hit me are Hanson boys or girls? i knew that they must be girls! after i had pondered that question for about a week i saw the video on MTV and i found out they were guys!!!!!!! ok this took me by BIG surprize but i thought "they are hot!!!" so from then on i was a HANSON FREAK!!!

told me it was a song by Hanson, and that and at home was the last I
heard of Hanson that summer. Last April, we did a poetry & music project
in school, around the time of the Hanson/Eggo commercial.So I decied to
do 'Yearbook' for my project. I was hooked ever since!
The first time i heard mmmbop was on VH1s pop-up video and i also seen
weird and where's the love and that was the first time i seen them and i
heard about them through my friend Kandice,who i miss!!!!!!
The first time I saw the mmmbop video I was over at my friend's house and she was talking about this realy cool new group called Hanson.Well her sister just happened to turn the channel to MTV just about one minute before the video was over, my friend was like thats them aren't they soooooooo cute, I just said they look like girls. But I thought the song was okay pretty soon my friend had bought their cd and I listened to it it was pretty cool and when I saw them up close they didn't look like girls anymore. Before I knew it I was a die hard Hanson fan, all my walls and time was taken up my Hanson. My friend is now a hanson hatter and she can't believe what she got me into.(Like I would't have found out about them sooner or later). Now my nickname at school is Hanson Lover or Hanson Girl.The first time I saw the video for MMMBOP I hade no clue as to how much those three boys singing MMMMBOP could influence my life sooooooooo much.Thanks for reading.
The first time I saw the video to MMBop I spent most of time trying to figure out if Tay and Zac were girls or boys (i know, i was stupid). I really liked the song and I remember thinking that I thought it would become a really popular song. If someone had told me when I was watching it that my life was going to change just because of these 3 people I would have burst out laughing. I copied MMMBop of the radio (WalMart didn't have the friggin' single) and listened to it all the time, although I couldn't figure out half the words. I remember singing... mmmbop.... du bop.... du bop... yea e yeah. That's about all I knew. Then, when I fell totally in love with them, I actually thought (I hate to admit it... sigh) that Tay was the skankiest guy ever. I didn't realize he was the hottest guy in the world 'til early June of '97. Since then, well, not one single day has gone by without the word 'hanson' coming out of my mouth.
