Sitting alongside a creek was a grasshopper.
His name was Elmo.
He started to make his musical
song, when all of a sudden, a very large dog came
trotting by.
Elmo stayed still.
The dog went over to the
creek and thirstily lapped up the water.
Elmo stayed still.
The dog looked up, turned his large head to the right, and
without hesitation, shook his face gleefully back and forth.
Elmo stayed still.
Many heavy droplets of water and drool
flew swiftly through the air.
Elmo stayed still.
He looked up
just as the splat was landing upon him.
Why did Elmo stay still?
