Lake Texoma
This is page one of a two page spread of our Fourth of July weekend at
the Lake Texoma. I sketched the lettering lightly with a pencil, using neat block
lettering, and expanding each letter until it was the correct size. The
outline of each letter was traced in with dark blue, and filled in with
a lighter blue. Black dots were added on top. Although it's not entirely
evident from this picture, I made a thick blue border in matching blue,
with another dashed border just inside. I have a secret trick for
making nice, fat, straight borders: painter's tape!! Yep!! That low-tack
tape used for painting your walls can be used as a guide for making your
own borders.
