1 can condensed milk
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup white corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Place ingredients into a large saucepan and stir together. Olace pan on low hear. Attach candy thermometer. Stir constantly over low heat until the temperature reaches 240 degrees. Remove from heat immediately and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. pour mixture into a buttered 8x8 pan. Cool. Cut into squares and wrap
