Studied piano with Leonid Nikolayev at The St. Petersburg Conservatory and Josef Hoffman at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Concertized with major orchestras in Europe and the United States. Had a popular radio series featuring all the concertos of Mozart. Taught at the Curtis Institute, Mannes College, Queens College and the Juilliard School of Music.
