On October 19th,2001 
Mr. FRANK THOMAS head instructor of the MUSKEGON KARATE ASSOCIATION of 
Muskegon,Michigan was awarded the rank of Yondan by the
"AMERICAN SHOTOKAN KARATE ALLIANCE" HOMBU located in St. Louis, Mo.
The testing Board consisted of the ASKA Shihankai members of the
"AMERICAN SHOTOKAN KARATE ALLIANCE" holding rank of 5th dan and 
Hassell Sensei(8th Dan)was presiding over the testing procedure. 
Thomas Sensei had earlier submitted his 105 page thesis of 
"How to Teach Karate from a Wheelchair" to Hassell Sensei and the 
ASKA Shihankai members. There was a 20 minute demonstrations of his "points"
that were in his thesis. This was followed by question and answer period
by the ASKA Shihankai members. Thomas Sensei would like to express his personal
"Thank - You" to all of his senior instructors past and present that gave him
an excellent education in Karate - Do. To his students past and present for 
additional educational growth, and support which made it all worth while. To my
family of friends that encouraged me to go farther than I expected!

by the "AMERICAN SHOTOKAN KARATE ALLIANCE" HOMBU.
The testing Board consisted of members of the "AMERICAN SHOTOKAN KARATE ALLIANCE" 
holding rank of 5th dan and higher. 
Hassell Sensei was presiding over the testing procedure.
Out of the other two adult candidates testing for the rank of Shodan, 
Mr. Hollowell (was only 15 years old) was the only one that passed!
