"One by One" by Corie
As they point and laugh
Their words ring in my ears
I hear their taunts
Words that sting like hot coals
Dumped on my soul
And when I look to You
To save me from this Hell
I get nothing in return
You have abondoned me
I bear a strong face to the world
for You
It kills me
To hear my friends calling me
Jesus Freak
Just wait until I make my pact with Satan to take you all down

Critiques:
-I like the irony in the use of Hell as a metaphor for where the
person is who is devoted to Jesus.
-The usage of expressions such as "point and laugh" and "Jesus freak",
which are almost, if not already, cliches, seems to make it stronger.
