~This is to me from Colleen!~

Lacey Dawn

Do you know how important you are to me?

No one in the world can make me laugh
        as uncontrollably as you...
you always know the right things to say
and the right way to say them.
you lift my heart even at its bleakest moments.
This is a gift that few people have.
I bless the day we whispered for first time...
          we began a riotous journey,
sharing joys of love, fears of rejection,
            and snide remarks...

Even if there is a complete power shutdown,
or the telephone refuses to operate,
or the mailmen go on strike...
I will always be with you, as our thoughts
and spirits cannont be silenced by mere mortals....
(no matter how god-like they aspire to be!)

          I love you Lace!!!!
Once in a life time someone special comes along,
To fill your days with happiness and your heart with song.

You are that someone, a blessing GOD sent to me,
What fate has in store is yet to be.

I can feel your soul when you pass through my dreams,
And to feel your breath upon my face it seems.

You make me see the world in a whole new way,
You light up my life each and every day.

You have touched my heart like no other before,
A part I have kept behind a locked door.

i stand in front
of a broken mirror
and what do i see?
i see me standing
ragged like an old doll
a childhood disease
 a broken angel
with a sharded halo
cutting the souls
of those who come close to me
i turn a-way
from the ghost in the mirror
the image which whispers
nightmares to my soul
and haunts me
forevermore
~Nicole DeSmet~

my mind is so mixed up....
like the bits of colored paper confetti
thrown at a party.

at one time, it was all sorted out
in whole sheets of paper
neatly stacked in orderly piles.

then a grey wind blew into my life
tearing, mixing, and enlivening
all the heaps of tidy thoughts into potpourri.

I will never be the same
nor do I want to be.

one less worry

my thoughts fly off, into the deep blue sky
i lay on the ground and just wonder why
why people act as if their always better
or they think thier god cuz a girl wrote them a letter
some dont understand, what they do to me
i'm not physically hurt, just emotionally
i know i should ignore them, and just walk away
but it's harder to do, then it is to say
when everyone around you, constantly stares
and it feels like, noone cares
what can i do, but end this all
and forget my problems, let my body fall
~MATTHEW GREENE~

I reached for a star but I fell off my high horse
and my face hit the floor like there was no tomorrow
So now the stars seem a hundred miles away
and it is back-breaking work getting through the day
I watch all their faces as they pass right by
It has been rather lonely here on the other side
Can you here me whoever you are
I don't need your help, I'll get my own star
I've been searching for your key to love
but I don't want your treasure map
I will find it myself
Did you hear me whoever you are
I will never need you
I'll take my own damn star

~CHRIS HO~

Slowly, unconsciously her prison within
Is built of silk threads so soft and so thin
That she is caught completely unaware
When she opens her eyes and finds herself there

A cocoon she built to protect her from pain
To prevented her from feeling it ever again
Held back the feeling for anything at all
Her joy and pleasure and growth it did stall

And in the darkness of her self made cell
She heard at a distance her own death knell
She went deeper within and awaited the hour
When once again she may know her own power

Suddenly the twig that held the prison key fell
And released her from its mesmerizing spell
Through a chink in her cocoon, shone brilliant light
And she struggled toward it, ready for flight

She emerged with strength and beauty within
And a hope for the new life that she would begin
Testing new wings into freedom and flight
Displaying her true colours, brilliant and bright.
