THE ABUSED

Tears coming from a little boy

Gone is his laughter and joy

A little girl cries he did it again

And she learns the meaning of sin

Wonder why mom's got a black eye

Here she goes with another white lie

Afraid to admit once again she got hit

She'll say she fell cause she was half lit

Little children missing days from school

From the hands of their parents so cruel

Everyone afraid of what's really going on

Bad days come and good days are gone

Abused lives are never the same

So uncalled for and such a shame

Love's blind but still make a claim

Protect the innocent give a name

Don't hide the abuser behind a door

You don't have to take it anymore

First you need to report the accused

And do not ever let them be excused
