Level 4: The Opera House

You start this level outside of the opera house, but you need to get inside. A guard will attack from below, but try and kill him before you jump into the water. He has ammo, but you don't have to get it. Jump to the grey platform across the water. Pull this switch on the middle level to open the roof to one of the buildings. Then return the way you came. Jump through the now opened roof across from the swinging crate. Inside the room a guy will attack with a crowbar. Jump uo onto the crates to find the Ornate Key. Exit the room to the cement platforms, and make your way back to the wooden platform with the swinging crate.

Jump to the tiled roof along the right wall. Position yourself above the window, tap backwords and grab the edge. Let go of action and then push it again quickly to grab the windowsill below you. Shoot out the window (isn't this fun!!) WALK through the room over the glass.

Go up the ladder and you will find a locked door. Use the Ornate Key. Follow the passage around and climb to the roof. You definitely have to save your game now--your bound to die a few times here. I think this is one of the toughest parts in the game. Do a series of jumps, flips, twists, and turns or do whatever it takes to get over the roof.

Once you've made it across, ru to the right to get to the main roof. Don't jump down to the black bubble-looking thing which is the roof. Fall backwords off the edge to attract 2 dogs and a guy with a crowbar. After you kill them go down to the roof. Head toward the swinging crate. On your way there you will meet a few hitmen. Stand on the roof diagonally to the swinging crate. Jump and grab the edge. (this may take a couple tries) Once you get inside pull the switch on the left--you won't need the other one 'till later.

Get down to the stage. Enter the room on the left side and pull the switch inside. The switch opens the gate on the right side of the stage. Jump up the the upper platform and enter the room to the right of the stage. Walk around, positioning yourself (or Lara's self, I guess) in front of the crack. Use this crack to reach the switch to the lower bridge. Cross this bridge and jump onto the highest platform and watch for the sandbags. Get to the switch. On the stage, the trap door will now be open. From the switch, go to the right. Slide and jump through the trap door. You should fall into the water. Strike a flare and swim around until you find the Relay Box & the switch. It will open the trap door at the top of the ladder where you found the Relay Box. You have to get to the top balcony to find the circuit board.

From the top balcony, go down the hall in the back right corner and use the Relay Box on the panel next the the busted elevator. This will turn the elevator on. Pull the switch next to it and ride to the bottom floor. Two guys will come, and they are sorta hard to kill. Anyways, pull the switch inside the room to make the elevator go up. Jump in the water that was underneath the elevator. Look around until you find a room filled with water that you can wade in. The Circuit Board is in this room. Exit this area by lookin' around for a lever to pull. This is your ticket out of here. It will open a gate that will let you pull yourself out of the water.

Go up the 2 platforms to the 2nd floor and turn right. Run down the hall passing the elevator. You should get to a short hall with fancy windows with a 'B' on them. In the roon beyond head for the switch next to a gray door. You might want to save here...

Slide down the shoot and at the last second jump over the fan. When you land grab the Ornate Key. To get out of the fan area, you have to jump over a couple of fans.

Climb the blocks on your right and leap to the slanted platform. At the last second jump toward the ledge beyond. Once you get past the fans, pull on a wood crate to get to the switch that opens the door. Push the crate the wooden crate through the door. Run into the next room. Postion the crate so that it is below the right side of the bottom set of windows. Blast through the windows, and push the wood crate inside on top of the other one. After you have done that, jump to the top of the crates to exit the area. (What would the world do without crates?!?) Go back to the second balcony use the Ornate Key you have worked so hard for. It will open a way to the roof&the panel that needs the Circuit Board. Put the Circuit Board in place, and then pull the right switch to raise the stage backdrop. Now head for the stage.

(In the last leg of this level, there are a lot of guys to kill) Backstage there is a whole bunch of crates. Find one that you can pull out from a pile. You will find yet another switch to pull. This one lowers the backdrop back down. Climb up the crates to the opening in the corner. WALK out on the ledge, and get your butt to the right balcony. Enter the room beyond. Jump into the open doorway in the right corner. Pull another switch to open the next door on the past.

Now you should be in a large room with crates. Find the lowest crate in the back of the room. Hop onto it. Jumping from box to box, make your way to the front of the room. Pull the switch there to open the door..er.. exit. That's right, the show's over and its onto...
