March Accomplishments
SENIOR JUSTIN BETTS won the 100 breaststroke at the USA Swimming
championship in St. Louis. Over 800 swimmers competed.
All four of Lee HS Choirs received SUPERIOR RATINGS, the
highest possible award, at the District 10 Choral Festival last weekend
Lee High School was awarded the Marshall Johnson Sportsmanship Trophy
from VHSL. [more]
The Lee High School Band was named Virginia Honor Band for the sixth year in
a row.
Regional Science Fair Winners- Grand prize nominee: Shannon Reeves First place winners:
Shannon Reeves, chemistry; Janie Nham, environmental; Tesia Lewis, microbiology; Jamie Rios, microbiology; and Fallon Shippen, microbiology. Second place winners:
Ashley Schultz, behavioral and social; Zachary Fettig, behavioral and social; Charles Horn, behavioral and social; Eric Trieu, engineering; Alex Zamora, engineering; Brendan Hannemann, microbiology; Melissa Morris, microbiology; and Amina Shafi, microbiology.
Third place winners:
Cecilio Garcia, Hoochul Kim, and Richard Leung, botony; Heather McKay, chemisrty; Michael McCants, chemistry; Matthew Berger, computer science; Stephen Guy, computer science; and Ngoc Vu, biochemistry.
Honorable mention: Julie Rammal, earth and space; Gabe Boenecke, enviornmental; Joshua Brick, environmental; Jose-Rene Dizon, environmental; and Pulkit Sethi, environmental.
