Liberty District Indoor Track Winners
by Steven Lienert, The Connection
In the Liberty District, Lee's boys' team subdued Fairfax, 125-91 to capture its first track title in 20 years. Lee's Jermaine Johnson and Fairfax's Brandon Royster had a little one-on-one thing going on, as it seemed they were 1-2 or 2-3 in each event they ran.
"He's faster in the hurdles because he has better form," said Johnson. "I'm faster in straight sprinting."
On the girls' side, Fairfax extracted revenge, defeating McLean 123-113.
The Rebels recorded individual wins in the high jump, pole vault, and the 4x400m relay.
