Weekend Report

Raining Touchdowns
Many people returned to Lee High for its homecoming and 40th anniversary party last Friday, but perhaps the most welcome return was that of Lee's offense. In the first quarter of a 48 - 14 victory over Broad Run in a AAA Liberty District game, the Lancers (5-1) scored six touchdowns --- four on offense --- after their offense had not scored a touchdown in eight quarters.
In a decisive quarter, Yonathan Moges scored on a 55-yard touchdown run and caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Sean Dunn. Dunn also scored on a 13-yard run. Tim Grant returned an interception 15-yards for a topuchdown and Omar Philmore had a 60-yard touchdown run and a 97-yard punt return for another score.
"We had not scored in a while and it was a question of going back to the basics," said Lee coach Joe Muskett. "There were so many people at the game, everyone who had ever graduated from Lee was invited back for a big reunion so I guess it was good we got going when we did."
