THE TOP PICTURE shows the local boys at their best.The Cape
Breton Senior League in the late 1940's was a classy league.... one
of the top 2 or 3 in CANADA, and more remarkable was this Small Town
with Local ALL STARS. Shown here is CHARLIE PLYE, brother of the
Great Welterweight Boxing Champion, JOE PYLE( who fought great fights
with another WATERFORD boxing Champ, Tommy Gun Spencer).
The other three in the picture, make up the most exciting line
in the league; DOUG PETRIE

LEO FAHEY
Bottom picture is Frankie PROZENOR....a SUPERB GOALIE, and another
