In 1996 when the Sonics got into the Finals you could here the screms and shouts of triumph througout the streets of my neighborhood in a suburb of Seattle. For the first time, the Seattle Supersonics has made it to the Finals. Everyone went wild. At summer carnivals there were long lines of kids waiting for their face to be painted. But no, they didn't want a rainbow of a car; they wanted the emblem of the SuperSonics. Everywere you went there were bumper stickers on cars about the team and posters flying. Everyone went wild. Whenever a Playoff Game was being broadcasted on CNN, the streets of Seattle and it's suburbe were quiet. But that was 1996. And it is now 1997. And the Seattle Supersonics are back to prove they are the best !!!!!!!!
