Oman's Flag

The Omani Flag.

A lot of the people that I meet over the Internet don't have a clue about Oman, my country. So here I present some info wich I hope will attract people to learn more about The Sultanate Of Oman.

So here it goes...

Oman's Map

Oman, independent state, extending about 1610 km (about 1000 mi) along the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, bordered on the north by the Gulf of Oman, on the east and south by the Arabian Sea, on the southwest by the Republic of Yemen, on the west by the Rub al-Khali (Empty Quarter) of Saudi Arabia, and on the northwest by the United Arab Emirates. The country's territory also includes the northern tip of the strategic Ras (cape) Musandam, which juts between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman; this portion is separated from the rest of the country by territory of the United Arab Emirates. The country's interior boundaries are not demarcated. Oman has an area of about 212,457 sq km (about 82,030 sq miles] "Oman," Microsoft (R) Encarta. Copyright (c) 1994 Microsoft Corporation. The best way I could think of, to introduce Oman is by pictures. I selected some of the most noticeable sites in Oman and attached them to my page.

This is my grandfather's house. I lived there until I was three years. This picture is kind of old and I'll replace it as soon as I get a more recent one.

Here are 2 links to my cousin's home pages.

Wite to me

Well as you can see, there isn't much on my page YET. However, soon its will be different. This is obviously my first ever attempt at publishing and I just want to get started.

Well, as I promised. I have made a few changes already in responce to the feed back that I got on the first day. So thank you all for your support and comments. I'll be adding some more links and extra information over the next few days, so remember to come by again, chech it out, and give me your comments.

And now one more change. I have moved to tripod.com (September 8th, 1997).
