Cebu to host 3rd cabinet meeting and district conference

On February 19-20, 1999, Cebu will host the 3rd cabinet meeting and district conference of all the Lions Clubs under District 301-B.

The conference, which will be held at the Baseline Restaurant will feature sports events like golf, bowling and lawn tennis. A fellowship night, to be held on February 19, will feature the provincial theme, wherein everybody who must attend should wear their region's best. Those from Bacolod would feature their Maskara costume, Dinagyang and Ati-atihan for Panay delegates, Sinulog for Cebu delegates to name a few. This is a very rare opportunity in a single event to discover, show and present the different Visayan ethnic costumes, songs and dances, ceremonies/rituals and other forms of festivities of our forefathers. Parlor games are also included in the evening's agenda and winners will receive valuable prizes, with the following categories: Best in Costume, Best in Ritual Presentation and Other Individual Awards. Lion Ritchie C. Mendoza is the chairman during this fellowship night.

The governor's ball will be held on February 20 at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club. This strictly formal affair is also the time where the past district governors will be honored.

Lion Dodong Jusayan is the council and convention chairman, with Lion Ponsoy Caņizares as the secretariat chairman and Lion Tony S. Lee as registration committee chairman.
