Iloilo Integrated Lions Club give gifts
The Iloilo Integrated Lions Club held a gift-giving to their adopted barangay Cubay, Tabic Suba Jaro last December 17, 1998.
The gift giving was led by the Iloilo Integrated Lions Club's president Hon. Eddie Laczi. The event which started at 9:00 in the morning was held at the barangay's day care center which is situated on the lot of Lion Bodol Jardiolin.
The gift giving is one of the numerous projects held by the club for the month of December. It can be recalled that they recently gave relief goods to the victims of floods in their adopted barangay Cubay, Tigum in Pavia and Lapaz.
BECAUSE of the benevolence and concern of the Lions Club, these children, mostly coming from poor families in Brgy. Cubay, Jaro and who were victims of government neglect, can celebrate the Christmas with a big giggle. The fundamental education due them through barangay day care center was hampered when a big chunk of the budget intended for day care center workers was unceremoniously shelved by the city government since June this year.
