The River from Heaven
The Yellow River winds through north China thousands of miles from west to east. Like the Nile in Egypt, the mother river is the cradle of ancient Chinese civilization. Chinese ancestors tried to trace the river to its source and once believed that the river flowed down from the up Heaven. For thousands of years on alluvial plain, Chinese had been farming and generating, warring and compromising, destructing and constructing, splitting and uniting. Until one day, a most powerful empire arose on the riverside, which name was well known to the world of that age -- Tang, and its capital is now called Xi'an. Because the Yellow River is one of the symbols of China and the Chinese nation, it is really a smart choice to put this yellow water dragon on the IC phone cards firstly issued by China Telecom. In all aspects, this set of cards is the best, I think, and shall be in any card collector's collection. |
