Faces of Fright
I see the boundless future unclouded
in their eyes and know that all too
soon will come the rains.
I seek to guard the sunshine they
share with us each day; That crisp,
clean love which is unstained.
For they are our greatest treasure
and grandest vessel, and their
innocent joy to be sure our richest
pleasure.
To cast storms of abuse upon our
starshine of tomorrow To rape this
virgin soil without a hint of sorrow
Is to choose to be a Hater of the
Light Is to bond with none less than
the Prince of Night;
It is a form of selfishness beyond
the realm of man, and true punishment
will only come from God's own hand
Yet while these thieves of life still
lurk among the living
We dare not for our children be so
forgiving As to feed yet one more
morsel to their unholy appetite
For then we, too, join hands with
the Faces of Fright.
