~JACQUELINE JEANNE PETERSON~

~September 25, 1949......September 15, 1999~

~My Belgian wife went to her Lord in her sleep on September 15th. 1999. Following are some of the inspiring words I recieved from my many friend in Cyberland that helped me through this ordeal we all face. May you find comfort in Them.~

~WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME~

~When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see; If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say.~

~I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand.~

~It said my place was ready in Heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye, for all life I'd always thought I didn't want to die.~

~I had so much to live for, so much yet to do, it seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you, I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad, I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had.~

~If I could relive yesterday, just even for a while, I'd say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile. But then I fully realized that this could never be, for emptiness and memories would take the place of me.~

~And when I thought of worldly things I might miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow. When I walked through Heaven's gates I felt so much at home. God looked down and smiled at me from His great golden throne.~

~He said, "This is eternity and all I've promised you. Today your life on earth is past but here it starts anew, I promise no tomorrow but today will always last."~

~So when tomorrow starts without me don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me I'm right there in your heart.~

~Dedicated to Lloyd in memory of Jacqueline today and for the rest of our lives. God Bless You, Dear Friend!~

~FALLEN SPARROW~

~A sparrow fell, and no one heard. No body cared. It was just a bird. From all the numberless flitting throng of sparrows, who would miss one song" But God leaned down and whispered, "I care, That was one of My sparrows, and I was there." A little girl, all sunshine and laughter, (And sometimes scolding, with kisses after!) And hurts to smooth over, and deed to applaud.... A little girl fell! Where were you, God? A little girl fell! God why weren't You there? If you're God at all....then You could have prevented This nightmare of pain! So you must have consented, I've always believed You Were loving and good, I'd like to believe still, if only I could. But God, if You love me, how can You allow such unbearable pain as I'm feeling right now. Such helplessness...helplessness...bitter Regret... So many tears that have fallen and yet So many more that are still locked Inside. Oh God...out there somewhere...have You ever cried? I'm not even sure, anymore that You are real, But if You are God...do you care how I feel?~

~(UNKNOWN)~

~Beloved I care in the midst of your grief. In the midst of your stricken and crumbling belief. In the midst of the blackness of total despair. in the midst of your questioning, child... I am there. "In the midst!" Not far off in some vague fifth dimension, But there, where you are, giving you my attention. My constant attention....and not just today, Since before you were born, I have loved you this way. You're important to Me, every hair on your head I have numbered Myself, can these tears that you shed Go uncounted.......unnoticed? Nay, child, here I stand Close enough that each teardrop falls into My hand. I know what you suffer, I know what you'll gain, If you'll let Me walk with you into your pain. I'll carry your grief, and your sorrow I'll bear. You've only to reach out your hand....I am there. Fear nothing for your Jacqueline, your dear little girl. She is safe in My house, and all heaven's a whirl With the ring of her laughter, her quick eager smile, And the things she's saving to show you "after awhile" Yes, I could have prevented... but, child, you can't see, With My perfect wisdom, trust Jacqueline to me. Of course, you will miss her, but while you are weeping, Remember, it's only her body that's sleeping Her "self" is awake, wide awake As I said, I am God of the living, not God of the dead. She trusted Me, and My sure word comes to pass, Who believes shall not die, that included your lass. Let Me walk with you now, through the long heavy days. Let Me slowly begin changing heartache to praise. Take hold of My hand child, take hold of My love. I will lead you to joys that you yet know not of. Your faith may be weak, and your trust incomplete, But I'll walk not too fast for your stumbling feet.~

"Truly, Truly, I say unto you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life" ... John 6:47

~"MY VERY OWN STAR"~

~Raise your eyes and look above After the sun has set The sky is filled with twinkling stars Covering the world like a net.~

~No two stars are just the same In size or shape or light But each one shines and glimmers Twinkling with all its' might.~

~Ever wonder how they got there Ever wonder what they're for Ever wonder if there's room enough To squeeze in just one more.~

~I think I know the reason why Those little stars are there And if you'll give me half a chance My thoughts, with you, I'll share>~

~Each of us has borne a loss Of a loved one close and dear Someone with whom we shared a life Someone that is no longer near.~

~But though this love was taken And in Heaven they now live Each has now become a star And a Twinkle to us~

~I'M FREE~

~Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took his hand when I heard his call. I turned my back and left it all.~

~I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found the peace at the close of day.~

~If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joys- A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Oh yes, these things I too will miss.~

~Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.~

~Perhaps my time seemed all too brief Don't lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee- God wanted me now, he set me free.~

~Author Unknown~

~God looked around his Garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. And knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes, He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly. When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain, We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide, You live on through your children, you're always by our side. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.~

~Author Unknown~

~There are times in our lives when we may feel God has given us more than we can handle. At such times we may despair that we are alone against overwhelming odds. It may be difficult to hold on to our Faith with such obstacles facing us. Can we really be blamed if at these times we are filled with questions about God's presence in our lives? When faced with the loss of a loved one, who can help us? When someone dear to us is dangerously ill, who can we turn to for help?~

~When we are aware that we are suffering from a debilitating or life-threatening illness, how do we we find the strength to keep fighting? How can we face these life-altering events alone? WE CANNOT DO IT ALONE! It is at these times we must turn to God to give us the strengh to go on. We cannot afford to turn our backs on Him, for with Him all things are possible... without Him we truly are alone. Believe in miracles, and pray for the strength to never give up the fight.~

~HIS TO KEEP~

~As you look upon me laying here, as if I was in a deep sleep. I want you to remember me for who I was and not to weep. I know my sickness and pain are still on my face. But be happy for me, for now I am full of God's Grace. I know that I'll miss you as much as you will miss me. But be happy for me, for now I am with Thee. God's purpose for me on Earth is done. Now I am in the arms of his precious Son. That wonderful person who died on the Cross. That same person who finds us when we are lost. Remember precious Friends as I lie here, Don't Weep! I am now with the Lord, I am HIS TO KEEP!~

~LIFE IS A MIRACLE~

~Life is a miracle don't let it slip away, Open your heart to others give of yourself each day.~

~See the beauty in everyone regardless of where they've been, Some have a difficult journey and really need a friend.~

~Share your gifts and talents listen with your heart. Do the things you dream about but don't have time to start.~

~Pick a bouquet of flowers show someone that you care, Be gracious and forgiving life is never fair.~

~Hold on to your courage you may need it down the road, We all have a cross to bear it could be a heavy load.~

~If you practice all these things no matter where you roam, You may find both sun and rain but you'll never feel alone.~

~YOU ARE BLESSED!~

~What is God telling you with the problems He blesses you with? The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you - depending on how you respond to them. Unfortunately most people fail to see how God wants to use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring. Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:
1. God uses problems to DIRECT you. Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways." Proverbs 20:30 (GN)
2. God uses problems to INSPECT you. People are like tea bags . . . if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot water!Has God ever tested your faith with a problem? What do problems reveal about you? "When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience." James 1:2-3 (NCV)
3. God uses problems to CORRECT you. Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned.Sometimes we only learn the value of something ... health, money, a relationship ..by losing it. ". . . It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws." Psalm 119:71-72
4. God uses problems to PROTECT you. A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management's actions were eventually discovered. "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good. . ." Genesis 50:20 (NIV)
5. God uses problems to PERFECT you. Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity. "We can rejoice when we run into problems. . . they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady." Romans 5:3-4 (LB) Here's the point: God is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or understand it. But it's much easier and profitable when you co-operate with Him. Read this regularly. Some of you could probably use this right now! YOU ARE BLESSED . . . THERE'S NO NEED TO STRESS YOURSELF OUT! Falling in love with the Lord is the greatest romance, Searching Him, the greatest adventure, Finding Him, the greatest achievement, Being with Him, the greatest source of happiness.

Dear B...

~GOD IS ALWAYS LISTENING...DON'T BE AFRAID TO TALK TO HIM~

~Occasionally, we are graced with the presence of an earth bound angel. They are unable to stay with us for long, but while they do, they bring unprecedented joy and happiness to all they touch. While they are here, we bask in their goodness and marvel at their contribution to the world. When they leave, we are left with the devastation that comes with losing such a wonderful being...but we must remember...the earth bound angels are not ours to keep. They are ours to enjoy, learn from, and behold until they return home.~
A personal note from Vicki:
Lloyd I just wanted to say how very sorry I am for your loss of your wife. Our lord works in very strange ways but he must have needed his angel back home with him. You and your family will be in my prayers to give you the strength to get through this. Hold on tight to your loved ones and please know that your angel is watching over you now. God bless you and your family. I hope to hear from you in a couple of months, please take care my friend. Sincerely,
Vicki

~GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU~

"He Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support."    Hebrews 13:5
~May your troubled heart find peace and comfort in the knowledge that you are never alone. May God's presence ease your trembling spirit and give you rest. He knows how you feel. He is ever aware of your circumstances and ready to be your strength, your grace, and your peace. He is there to cast sunlight into all of your darkened shadows, to send encouragement through the love of friends and family, and to replace your weariness with new hope. God is your stronghold, and with Him as your guide, you need never be afraid. No circumstances can block His love. No grief is too hard for Him to bear. No task is too difficult for Him to complete. When what you are feeling is simply too deep for words and nothing anyone does or says can provide you with the relief you need, God understands. He is your provider -- today, tomorrow, and always. And He loves you. Cast all of your cares on Him... and believe.~

~STEPPING STONES~

~The Lord sat down beside me, and gently took my hand. He said, "Let me explain to you and then you'll understand.~

~Each sorrow is a stepping stone you must surmount each day, And every stepping stone you climb is a sorrow that's passed away.~

~The road of life is a mountainside, with crevices in which to be caught, But as you struggle on your way, I the Rock, will lend support.~

~Every stepping stone you climb, makes spirit and heart grow strong. Exercising character and faith this road seems painful and long.~

~The way is paved with stepping stones, to uplift your heart and soul, Though difficult they aid your way, to a City paved with gold.~

~I know that you are tired, for I too have walked this way, My sorrows did they multiply, but I cleared many stones away.~

~I left my rock to lift you up, I left behind my story. To give you strength to make your climb, to that special place in glory.~

~And never fear, the Rock is here, You'll never climb this mountain alone Surmount life's sorrows, continue on, For they are but stepping stones.~

~I'M STILL HERE~

~Friend, please don't mourn for me I'm still here, though you don't see. I'm right by your side each night and day and within your heart I long to stay.~

~My body is gone but I'm always near. I'm everything you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart as long as you keep me alive in your heart.~

~I'll never wander out of your sight I'm the brightest star on a summer night. I'll never be beyond your reach I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.~

~I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around and the pure white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond, The clear cool water in a quiet pond.~

~I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring, The first warm raindrop that April will bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.~

~When you start thinking there's no one to love you, you can talk to me through the Lord above you. I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.~

~I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!~
